I'll look forward to Red Dwarf. The last series was pretty good. You still can't beat the early shows. Series 1 & 2 are great and I Love series 4.

AGHHHHHHHHHH! Jeeeezzzzz! Every bloody week without fail, I set the timer for 10-11pm and it always cuts the end of the episodes off. Almost ever show finishes before the actually stated time so they can have an advert break. So for example Corrie starts at 7:30 but finished around 7:56, 4mins of ads before the next show at 8pm. What is so difficult about that? Friggin' UKTV! They mess up The Bill on Drama and can't figure out an hour on Dave. I'll have to start amending the time for the timer to go off later. It's a pain though, as you usually only press one button, but inputting a specific start and finish is fiddlier.
Anyhoo, I got to the bit where Ross Kemp was nicked. Any one know what happened next?

I don't think it's just Dave. Lots of the "other" channels seem to start and finish on the hour rather than when the actual programme starts if you ask me. I often missed the end of Murdoch last series as that started late quite a lot, so I had to record/watch the ending in the repeat!!! The big names are the ones who seem to adjust to any variations in broadcast times.

Murdoch's on Alibi/Drama which are UKTV aswell, they're useless. I'm watching London's Burning and the timer went off at 3pm but the episode had already started. BBC and ITV tend to be slightly better...although the 8pm Emmerdale on Thurs I record and I set the timer for 19:58 because it usually starts at least a minute early. But some of the freeview channels start and finish when they want.

Forget all that. I've just watched Holby that I recorded last night and it's cut the end of that! Dom asks Morven if she's ok and then it cuts off. I think it's mainly the credits that have gone. But the timer was set for 8-9pm but I ended up with the 60seconds news update at the beginning which meant Holby didn't start until 1min40sec into the recording which probably accounts for the 1min missing at the end. It's so annoying, but I can't change the timer to 9:01pm to try and make sure I get the whole show if there's another show on at 9pm, I'll end up missing the start of that.

I quite often get a pop-up asking which two of three shows I want to record because one of them is running late. Seems to be happening more and more since the clocks went back.

Agreed. I switched BBC News on at 7pm to check the time and the freeview box changed to 7pm the same time the news channel did, so it's not an issue with the time on the machine being out causing the issue, it's the channels.

Oh totally. That's what I meant. The channels themselves are not keeping to time.

Oh totally. That's what I meant. The channels themselves are not keeping to time. They are getting worse...and no +1for BBC, so it's Apprentice Youre Fired or The Detectorists. But that's completely off topic! Lol😉
