I love this show and tonight thought great, I can crash out to this.... only to discover it was part two of a flipping crossover episode with Chicago Fire, now vanished from Freeview. So I had no clue what had gone before! I hate these episodes as, no doubt unlike the USA, we dont get them playing concurrently. Maybe I'll come across part one in a few years time, by which time I'll have forgotten the ending.

Maybe I'll come across part one in a few years time, by which time I'll have forgotten the ending. NBC is notorious for this. Including crossover episodes that merge for Chicago PD, Fire and Med. They used to do the same thing with Law & Order and Law & Order SVU or Homicide Life on the Street. Not taking into account (or not caring) that people may not be able to adjust their schedule to catch all the shows. Nor what happens years later when the individual shows turn up in rerun syndication. I saw a repeat of L&O that ended on a really gripping scene and then there was the caption "continued on SVU" Well it was an episode from 2007 so good luck in me finding the companion repeat anytime soon. Had to wiki to find out how it ended. Frustrating.

The irritating thing is that all three series are on different channels, you don't know where you are up to half the time.

I understand why NBC does it - to cross promote their various series to draw in NEW fans - but I don't think they really take into account how it affects existing fans of each series, both domestic and international.
CBS has done it a bit with the some crossovers epis of the various CSI and NCIS franchises - but nowhere near to the extent that NBC does.

I nearly fell off the sofa last night when they said Kelton was running in the mayoral election of 2019! That means we are actually up to date then. Usually we are about three years behind, if not more.

And in the real world we had a Mayoral election in 2019! Art imitates life.

NBC streams all of its shows on their website, including Chicago PD, Fire and Med. But unfortunately that streaming is only available to people who access the site from a server within the US.
However, there are services that allow you to route access through a server based in the US and I believe its a completely above board way to do it.
