do you have Sky +? You can add manual radio recordings easily. Of course, there is also BBC radio I player and/or podcasts

I record from Freeview but the annoying thing is I cannot FF through the recording and if you just select the programme from the EPG you get the news first and then it cuts off too early at bang on 7.15. So I do manual settings from 7.03 - 7.17. For holidays I would do the minibus though.

I often listen to the Archers on I player but would prefer to listen to the trial 'live'!

Nah, I don't think he loves Henry. But H is a child and therefore easily mailliable - Rob would like that - and obviously loves Rob, another tick, but mainly it's to get at Helen & her family. Given that he is no blood relation to H and has only been in his life for a short time, I think he will either tire of him & ship him off to boarding school, get a new girlfriend/wife to care for him or use him as a bargaining chip to get Jack, ir any combination of these. Let's see if Rob's father' appearance will move things along a bit. He didn't seem the kind of man to enjoy the company of small children. And on that bombshell... 47b20s0

So Bruce is just being used as a device to remove Ursula as he needs a bit of housework done and can't do any of it himself! And (quite ludicrously) she had to make a second treacle tart because the lattice wasn't perfect on the first. I wonder how Rob turned out as he did.

It's hard to believe Rob and Ursula would havering over what to cook for Bruce just seconds before he arrived. But not the hardest thing to believe in this storyline...

It is also unbelievable that Ursula would have stayed away for so long if she knows what Bruce is like. The house it's a tip?? Well, it must have been you that made it that way matey. To be fair to Rob, he did defend Henry when his father said those vile things about him. Think I am right though - Henry in exchange for Jack who will be bought up as Gideon. Jack will inherit the Titchner money, Henry will get nothing.
I notice that the vicar has been conspicuous by his absence in all of this and Usha even more so (she does still own Blossom Hill Cottage?).

Souad Faress' travails were probably badly timed for the Titchener SL, but there's no excuse for sidelining Heidi Niklaus. To better times (give it a year or so)...

I'm no longer a regular listener but as far as I know Usha is very seldom in Ambridge these days, which I hope means it's because Souad Faress is too busy. She had her moment in the limelight when she was marrying Alan, which brought out a lot of unpleasantness among the locals. I also remember years ago Roy putting dog poo through her door – how times change!
The Helen/Rob storyline should really be wrapped up asap, but not much chance of that I fear. Let's hope the new editor revives what The Archers is supposed to be about.

There has been a definite increase in references to farming just lately I think. Also, some characters have actually been heard on air who have been silent for yonks, like Alice. If only that were at the expense of certain other characters, like TRex!!!!

I must have missed Friday's episode. There were some real revelations for Anna about Rob's behaviour, but while Ian might prove useful as a character witness, Neil would be a disaster. Doesn't Rob know about the hit ands run, so wouldn't the prosecution tear Neil to shreds in court?

I'm not wrong about this, am I? Rob does know, so it would be suicide to put Neil up on the stand. If Helen has a poor memory, shouldn't Tom remember?

I can't believe no-one pointed out that it was Mike, not Neil, who Helen ran down Guess that's one 'mystery' solved...

Wow, Alistair, way to over-react...
And notwithstanding my rep for ahem, fine details taking a knock, isn't there a simple solution? If the prosecution is tipped an anonymous wink about the 'sab' (who the programme makers definitely seem to have redesignated, from 'observer', with camera), and he can be tracked down, Shula can still testify that she couldn't be sure what happened, in the spur of the moment, and that Rob 'persuaded' her that he was in the right. The damage will be done for him, and she won't really have to lie.
