My images are well below 1MB,usually only about 150-200 kb,but the pixel count is higher than the new allowance. I don't want to cause any problems,so I can reduce their size if necessary. It might save confusion. Lumix may explain it better than I have.

A photo of our kitten/cat Izzy, not yet a year old, taken a few months ago. She was watching Rufus our dog from the dining table.

Just posted some info in the FAQ thread.

I wonder if it's OK to post some photos from Photobucket? Any word on that yet?

Does size really matter. Well yes and there are things in place here to control images that don't meet the forums max. requirements. You don't have to worry about this as the software we have will automatically reduce the image size to fit the forum. Having said that, It is most important that you only post the link to your image which is hosted by one of the many available photo host sites on the web. Photobucket or Imgur are two which I use and I have put an instruction video in the FAQ thread to help you understand the process. A Little tip for your benefit is to resize your images before you upload them to a host site. This not only reduces the upload time it also produces a better quality image than letting your photo host site do the resizing. Easy Thumbnails is a good free programme to use. I reduce to 1000 x 700 and the image quality is unaffected. Upload speed to the web is three times faster.
Ok then you can all get those images posted here now. Any problems just let me know. Click HERE to download Easy Thumbnails.
This image here was produced as described above.

On Apple, open your photos(s) with Preview, go to Tools, go to Adjust Size and select the size you need. Usually the Fit Into option will work well rather than reducing resolution. Generally I keep a folder on the desktop of images I've re-sized for whatever reason. When I want to add to it I drag and drop from Photos and then re-size.
