It hasn't finished yet, bidie. They seem to have combined series 1 and 2 into 12 two hour episodes, whereas they were shown as 1 hour episodes in Italy. But the RT and my EPG are showing episode 7, which would be 1 and 2 of series 2, next week.
I think it is excellent now. And finally we got a blonde woman! I thought she had hired a hitman but I'm not too successful at guessing the killer in this show. But after Mad Monica made the big reveal, which we had all guessed, wouldn't you have asked the follow up question "well who did then?" . The brother annoyed me last night, he really is spjneless!

My newspaper said it was the end of the series, but if we are going straight on to series 2, they were not wrong!
Valeria is a girl after my own heart. Ok, I would have reversed the van over the killer repeatedly (see 'brain matter' post) but she did the next best thing and went for a double barrelled shotgun!
And at no point did she trip.

I think the decision to carry on with what was originally series 2* must have been made suddenly - last week's RT said the episode we just had was 6 of 6, but next Friday's is showing as 7 of 12. (* or, the first half of series 2, which according to imdb has 24 1-hour episodes).
Valeria is lucky to be alive! She shouldn't be going alone to a suspected killer without backup, or without even telling any colleagues where she's gone - just leaving them to work it out from her computer, and arrive at the exact right moment to prevent a gunfight and arrest him...
Each week the case seems to contain an element that relates to Valeria's own life. I wonder how many more episodes before her father's killer is revealed.

I think it had to be her or her brother. Cannot see Mum taking the blame for anyone else.
The question is - why?

Abuse has to be a strong contender, and Mum blamed herself for not seeing/stopping it, or just was sacrificing herself to protect her child. (Feel free to ridicule this if it turns out to be rubbish!)

I did wonder when the killer was revealed in the latest episode, after abusing his own daughter, if it might trigger some sort of memory in Valeria. But not so far.

Well I was fully expecting Mad Monica to say "It was YOU!!!" and then laugh maniacally but that didn't happen. Could Valeria really have buried it this deep if she killed him at 13? Perhaps it IS the brother and thats why he wants Mama to live with them regardless of anyone else's opinions..... Guilt and it was their deal!
I was calling for her to wait for back up at the house!

I knew that alibi was false! I was also getting worried by the end that Vanessa was going to forgive jealous abuser Stefano. I hope he got banged up for assaulting the waiter.
Another good episode I thought, with a satisfying variation in hair colour for once, but what is happening with the family plot? I assume Mama is still lying, because Mad Monica said she told her she was innocent. The mother however has said it wasn't self defence but deliberate murder, so that's hardly innocent is it? If we are having a forum sweepstake, my 50p is on the brother.

Also enjoyed this episode - a blonde woman and a teenage girl with red hair! Agree about the alibi - the moment we were told that the cinema staff "remembered him because he had to come back for his phone", bells rang!
I liked the opening scene with the victims father unable to bring himself to paint the lovely wooden furniture with his daughters choice of blood red paint! Despite his treatment of ex SIL he still came across as a sympathetic character.
As this is the first episode of the new series I suppose the family story is on the back burner, although Valeria did have a look at her late fathers file and we learnt he was stabbed in the neck and dumped in a lake.

Perhaps during series 1 there were loads of Italian posters saying what's with the long brown hair? We can't tell any of these women apart! LOL
They are quite well off aren't they? The main house is lovely and presumably they own the cabin on that beautiful lake.

I find the scenery and architecture delightful in this series.

Well. What's going on with this family story? Could the uncle have been involved with la mama and il papa found out, burst into the love nest at the lake and got killed in the scuffle? Because she implied the brother had been told a lie as well, but a different lie from Valeria so if they compare notes it all falls apart.
Thank God Valeria finally went home and got some clean clothes, the ones she was wearing must have been minging after all those days. I hope she bought some underwear! And I was shouting No, No, No at the screen when she started to have sex with that detective, and even more so when she decided to pleasure herself afterwards. Thank goodness for the phone call.
I may well be proved wrong but I like Giorgio and didn't want her to finish with him.

Well, we're used to people coming from left field in this drama. Unless I missed something, the perp in yesterday's case did, and now in Valeria's private life a relative pops up who we've never seen or heard of before. However, with 4 episodes still to come from this series, I don't think his involvement is going to be what was suggested.
I don't agree over Valeria's work colleagues. Her open behaviour at work with who's supposed to be her boss would surely get one or both of them reassigned in any other police force in the world. I reckon this is one of the parallels with her private family life we keep getting - he's a father figure to replace the murdered one, she fancies the younger one but thinks she must stay loyal to her "father". Though my advice to her would be, find a nice chap outside work...

Do you mean the uncle, GMan? He has appeared a couple of times before, albeit briefly.

Yes, the uncle - must have missed him.
