I'll have a look. Agatha Christie had a mind like a steel trap. She probably could have solved a real mystery.

I like Lyndsay Marshall so I i'll record it, and then see what you guys think before I decide whether to watch it.

Well this is going at a snail's pace. It's not been on long and I'm beginning to think they all should have some strichnine. Script is well, some words, lots of raised eyebrows and knowing looks.
I'll have to stick with it though as I negotiated it in return for letting my so watch the football followed by SPOTY.
😁😁

I enjoyed it. We were warned about 'language', but there was only one naughty word in there. To be honest, it could've been avoided in the script. But, overall, it was just a bit of nonsense. It didn't take an enormous amount of brain power to work out whodunit.
Overall, it wasn't bad :-)

Hmm, damning by faint praise! Oh, well, I'll keep it on the back burner for a quiet evening.

So the plot wasn't up to Christie's own standard then?

It will be on my list of “stuff to watch when there’s nothing else I want on”. I always like to have a few on that list.

The plot was ok, the script wasn't. However this is where Christie met her second husband at a dig in Iran. He is the main male lead

I'm not an Agatha Christie fan but I watched it as there was nothing else on that interested me. It was OK but could have been much better. The lead actress was good in the part.

Oh that's interesting! I thought she'd met him here through doing some research for a plot. Can't remember where I read that.

I enjoyed it. It wasn’t too taxing after a bit of a manic Christmas shopping day. I liked the actors who played Agatha Christie and Max Mallowan. There was a bit of gentle humour to it, too, which I appreciated.

Was Max played by the World On Fire chap?
I thought they missed a trick here. The script was pretty ropey. I think they were probably aiming for 1920s witty sophistication like a Noel Coward comedy but failed to achieve that. I think they should have concentrated more on the way the plot was presented. It was OK for a TV movie.
