Had chicken drumsticks in a soy/honey/Dijon mustard/olive oil sauce, with lots of green veggies. Will be having the second portion of this big cook-up tomorrow.

Just had a takeaway Fish & Chips from somewhere we've not tried before. Soggy chips and a HUGE piece of battered fish which even my greedy husband said would have been enough for the two of us!
Neither of us finished it! (And the peas were a violently bright green.....)

What a shame. Just as a good fish and chips is a thing of joy, a bad fish and chips is a huge disappointment.

I made a shepherd's pie for Max (my youngest) and myself this evening as MrC was meeting some work friends for a curry tonight. It was rather nice if a little peppery for my taste. But Max loves his pepper, and I threw in some peas for good measure.
Might go for fish and chips myself tomorrow!

Today I am showing solidarity with EU immigrants to the UK by stuffing myself with Kielbasa from the Polish deli. I may later express more solidarity by eating some of their baked cheesecake. Democracy demands sacrifice.

Chinese for me! I get my eggs in the local butcher, (they are free range and £2 a dozen for jumbo size .) Whilst there on Friday, they had beautiful lean belly pork. So I simmered it in water yesterday, and tonight I shall do twice cooked pork, stir fried with chilli bean paste, leeks and peppers.
