Ive only just switched over to ITV and the first thing I heard was Caraline Quinn-tun instead of Quentin. I don't know what the list was, but Sherlock has had quite a few incarnations so you'll have fans voting from the different versions. They should have had a sub question, which is the best Sherlock? Because someone who loves Bretts version might hate the modern version and Cumberbatch's portrayal and visa versa.

I FF through this because I couldn't stand the croaky narration. I see Lewis was number 15. But Columbo at number 6? Really?

I'm not a big fan of those 2hr shows, probably because they're actually 1hr20mins but with adverts they're 2hrs! Which is annoying. I'd put Lewis ahead of Columbia! I found myself watching the 1st episode of Lewis this afternoon and enjoyed it very much. I watched the whole lot last June/July and decided to watch one today. Ive got so much to watch but felt like a bit of a change of genre.

I managed to watch every Lewis too. They were great imho. Actually I prefer the two hour films. The last series were two parters of one hour each and I preferred recording and watching them together.
I printed off lists of Lewis, Marple, Poirot and Midsomer and just have two Midsomers to go. It stopped me recording the same ones over again.

I prefer it as one story aswell, but when they're shown on TV they're 2hrs, say 8pm-10pm, but they're actually only about 1hr20mins, way too many adverts. I watched them online with no adverts and it's a lot better, you don't keep getting interruptions in the flow of the story. I watched some old Armchair Theatre/Armchair cinema and they still have the advert breaks in the middle (obviously not the actual adverts) and one advert break was 35mins into the programme! Now you're lucky if you get beyond 10mins.

I actually remember the Douglas Wilmer version of Sherlock Holmes. Peter Cushing was good, but my favourite was Jeremy Brett. The latest incarnation started out well, but to my mind the final one seemed rather 'out of character'.

I remember Douglas Wilmer and Peter Cushing, as Holmes. Both were very good. Brett, for me though, was the best. Cumberbatch did start well. Two great series as Holmes, then it just descended into weirdness.

That was more Moffat's fault though. Disappeared up his own fundament with the writing.
