I’m not a big fan of the current vicar but at least we haven’t had to put up with that dreadful woman sniffing round him as when James Norton was in place.

The tòne of the show has changed this series. Everybody seems miserable!

They do indeed. I am also fed up with Leonard turning down all suggestions of help and insisting he can do everything on his own. Of course, he doesn’t factor in the help of Mrs C, her husband and his poor boyfriend. I would have left him to it if I were the photographer.

Yes I’m sort of going off it a bit, but will keep watching to the end.

I cannot think how the story will progress if both Will and Geordie leave. Last episode next week so perhaps all will be resolved then.

I thought Will was leaving but not Geordie.

You are right. It is just Will who will be replaced. Having read the RT resume of next week's episode, it doesn’t seem very jolly!

It wasn't as gloomy as I expected. I think there is at least one more series.

Isn’t it odd that every vicar who comes to that particular parish is happy to work with Geordie as a crime consultant! The new chap takes over immediately doesn’t he? I think we will hear Will has moved on in episode 1. I’ll be quite pleased to see someone new actually.

It is the same with Father Brown. He pops up so often when something has happened such as an assault or murder. Another thing which puzzles me is that everybody in Kembleford seems to be Catholic!

The Cotswolds does seem very Catholic though. I used to stay with friends who had a cottage down there who went to Mass every Sunday (leaving me in bed!). It seemed that many villages had a Catholic Church and in fact it was the lack of priests which meant they weren’t all in use every week. Whereas where I lived as a child in Bedfordshire, there were mainly Methodist or Baptist chapels. I mean as well as the Anglican Church of course.
