Whoa, I did it! Not started a thread before on these boards....
Mine would be turkey Christmas dinner - we love it with all the trimmings: chipolatas in bacon, stuffing, bread sauce, cranberry sauce and gravy. Always have sweetcorn and carrots with sprouts, plus yummy roasters of course. We get out our biggest plates!

Hard to beat a Christmas dinner!
Very close is roast lamb.
For a simple meal - ham, egg and chips!

It's hard to pick out one as I like most cuisines and nearly all foodstuff but a nice roast with all the trimmings & sauces has to come hear the top. If I really had to choose one meat then probably lamb although pork crackling is one of life's pleasures. A really good fish & chips can go down nicely and I enjoy Chinese duck with pancakes or a nice steak. There are times when egg, chips & beans hits the mark too.

Forgot to say, the occasional full English breakfast with first class sausage & bacon is a real treat too.

Quite a list, Dee!! I love fish & chips, too - our favourite takeaway in spite of all the choices nowadays

Gosh that's difficult! It depends on my mood, and what cuisine I fancy.
Roast beef and Yorkshires, and not those little round things, a good slab from a roasting tin! Shepherd's pie when it's cold and miserable. General Tso's chicken when I want Chinese, Ching's version. Yellow bean pork and chinese cabbage, ditto. Nasi goreng for when I need something spicy and comforting.
No, I can't choose!

I can honestly say that I've never fancied a cold and miserable shepherds pie. I like to put cheese on top.

Has to be a roast for me too! Not keen on beef though.

Sausage, egg & chips. Has to be top quality sausage, and proper chips from proper spuds and preferably cooked in duck fat. Accompanied by brown sauce.

Although I love and cook nearly all of the above, one of my favs is a Mac cheeseburger, large fries and chocolate milk shake, probably because I only have one every couple of months as a treat.

Hot pots when the weather is not so warm. My sister used to make what she jokingly called "Scottish lasagne" because it had layers of thin potato slices instead of pasta. We never bothered to find out if it had a proper name. It was very nice, whatever it was called.

Braised beef, slow cooked in the oven with carrots and onion, is always a favourite (another winter dish, I know!)
