I'm glad there is only one more episode as, good as this story is, I have lost all patience with this wretched woman!

Me too… no redeeming features whatsoever
I shall be interested to see how they end the story

I agree, she is dreadful. But so is that awful junior doctor, I hope she doesn’t get off Scot free because she seems totally incompetent to me. Imagine being treated by someone as high as Lucinda though, it’s quite frightening isn’t it? And when is the famous actor James Purefoy going to get some serious air time? He has hardly featured so far.

The only member of the A&E team who seems to have any redeeming features is the young doctor called Oscar. I too am surprised that James Purefoy has such a small part.

I did enjoy this overall but felt the tension just evaporated. The last episode had virtually none, and included a lot of dialogue just explaining how the scam had worked. Still at least it was explained, I suppose!

It's a shame, the series had such potential.

I felt the same. Bit of a let down I suppose. I found myself thinking, it seems to me that the author had thought of a dreadful underhand scam by those in positions of power and trust, and tried to find a plot to fit it into.

At least James Purfoy's presence was explained in the final episode. I did think the character of Lucinda was a bit under-written as we seemed to spend an awful lot of time seeing her in various slow motion anguished poses and not much else, more so as the series went on. She should have been depicted in a way that made you feel more sympathetic towards her. I must admit I feel sorry for her in the end. And didn't all the "baddies" become more reasonable people very quickly in the last episode? I got the impression the writer suddenly realised she had to bring the thing to an end so did it in a hurry. I was really taken with the series for the first few episodes but it went off the boil for me as it went on and was a bit of a disappointment.

Yes it was the old Midsomer Murders technique of “be suspicious of a well known actor in what appears to be a bit part”. They are either getting murdered horribly or they are the baddie!
