'Scuse me ... but as a relative newcomer to this show (half way through the last series) who is this Harry of whom so many speak

It's the little green lizard that appears for a few seconds for Humph to talk to.
It's CGI, btw.

Although the cricketing episode was enjoyable, a close range, self inflicted gunshot would cause distinctive powder burns on the clothing of the victim and on his hands - there is no way moving the discarded shell cases could lead to anyone (other than these island coppers) believing that the shot had been fired from a distance....

Probably a completely different wound, too, and the bullet would have doubtless gone straight through and travelled too far. But they don't appear to have any sort of forensics. In the heart seems a very peculiar, awkward way to shoot oneself, too. Also, I don't care how loud the music was, they must have been deaf not to hear a gun going off a couple of dozen yards away! Anyway, I don't think DiP is really the sort of show which bears close inspection, so probably best to just relax in your hammock, drink your rum out of half a coconut and go with the flow!

My thoughts exactly Norman. I like a light watch from time to time!

I love the show and although the plots are light (apart from the death) they are usually more thoughtful with the obvious forensic stuff.
That's why the cricket episode surprised me.

I've never been able to get into a hammock without falling out of it as soon as I moved. I must admit my one attempt at lying in a hammock did not end in a dignified manner!

I never thought this would work with Kris but it did...so I have high hopes of Donal (I think he is in the next episode) I hope he has a happy send off with Martha.

I hope he moves into the beach shack and Harry survives the change!

Wouldn't it be GREAT if he played the role AS Father Dougal? "Murder is it now? Down with this kind of thing! Take care now"

Love Ardal, I think he'll be perfect in the role.

Sorry Kris is going, but can understand why. Of course he wants to spend more time with his young family.
I'm sure Ardal's character will fit in nicely. And yes, he does make an appearance in tonight's episode. Character called DI Jack Mooney (according to my Radio Times).
