Going to go to 6 episodes a week in 2017 it has been announced, not clear when they will be scheduled.

I wish all these soaps would have a limit of three episodes a week. Quantity over quality.

I think too many episodes per week has contributed to the deterioration of Eastenders, and think it is a big mistake for Corrie to follow suit.

Haven't watched it in years. Would you like a run-down since Martha Longhurst slumped over in the snug?

I too think that 6 episodes a week are too many. They'll probably add an 8.30 slot to the Wednesday slot which already goes out at 7.30. It would bring it in line with the Monday and Friday slots currently.

6 episodes of any soap is far too many .. .2 is more than enough .. it means more characters having less to do and more padding with ridiculous storylines

Allowing for commercial breaks l think, each episode is 22 minutes or thereabouts, bearing in mind the Archers broadcasts 6 episodes a week of 15 minutes, not looking at a lot more output.
Probably another wait and see exercise.
Emmerdale and Hollyoaks do 5 episodes a week,it is just the way things are going.

Re Kylie's death - it is ALL over the media, so this is not a spoiler. I never believed in Freddie as a character so I am hoping he will turn out to be psycho (which I can believe of him) and kill Kylie.
Probably it will be one of Callum's boring friends though.

The soaps are obsessed with murder and violence in general .. no wonder society is going to hell in a handcart when that is all they see

Well I've just watched tonight's episodes. And despite knowing the outcome I have spent the last half hour in tears. They can still pull it out the bag when they want to.

I thought Kylie's death was very emotional. She was a favourite character of mine, so sorry to see her go. Must admit I was in floods when she and David were talking to eachother about their lives and the kids.
