Elements of the current series are getting more unbelievable. Why would someone open a jazz club in an old stately home apparently miles from anywhere? Totally implausible. Still, it's not meant to be taken too seriously I suppose.

Well there's a stately home in County Durham that has a weekly jazz club. It's in the countryside too. Imagine accidentally staying there and discovering four old blokes badly scatting and jamming in the corner of the great Hall singing about old Louisiana in fake accents!!! You'd scream louder than Cleo Laine.
It's a hotel now, should have mentioned that at the start.
A setting miles from anywhere is probably the best place for a jazz club.

Yes, there are a few large houses and stately homes that have Jazz played in them. There is one of two that even have a jazz festival. Burton Agnes Hall for one, and Iford Manor which has concerts and jazz lunches as well as a festival. I really love jazz and keep an eye out for these things. I can't go now, but I like to know what is going on.

Father Brown series 11 has been given the green light with 10 episodes set to air on BBC One.
Filming has already started with Mark Williams reprising his role as the title character.
The series 10 finale of Father Brown left fans desperate for more and actor Williams expressed his passion for the role.
Joining Williams once more is Lorna Watson, who will be returning as Sister Boniface.

Did you not watch the stand alone series?
I do hope her appearance in this doesn't mean there won't be another Sr B series.
It's jolly holly sticks fun.

I enjoyed it as well. Hope there's another one. Maybe this appearance is a crossover episode to announce a new series

What an episode. Strictly Come Kembleford. DI Tom Chambers took to the floor, Kevin Clifton was a talent scout and a Strallen, one of the Bonnie Langford clan, was the female lead. Great stuff. I’m getting fed up Brenda acting like the village idiot though.

Tom Chambers was in the episode of Midsomer when they did a Strictly themed murder!

That’s clearly his niche! I’m going to see him next month in a play called Murder in the Dark but don’t think there’s any dancing in that.
