Peter Snow analysis.
130 or so members, 50 or so active.
13 votes, majority not bothered ,or don't look at calendar, (at least one of which didn't even know there was a calendar)
Not sure what that proves.

It only appears when there is an entry on the calendar for that day

I have just had a look and there is nothing in the calendar for today. But there is nothing of note starting today AFAIK and it is only used to record the start of a new series or a one off that we bring to the board's attention. I am sure that if one of us had started a new thread for something starting today (like City In The Sky on BBC2, say, which I have just spotted but have no plans to watch) it would have been added.
That is my understanding of how it works at least.

You're right, that's how it works

Thanks Miranda, that's what I assumed.

I hadn't really looked at the calendar till now, nor noticed the info box (still can't see it?). It's good that it's updated, but I probably will still check my TV guide app. It's a bit squashed, like you are limited to how much you can put for each date? - but thanks to Bouncy for adding the programmes.

You can't see the the info box, Today's Events, because there is nothing for today on the calendar. If you click on next Sunday, 3 programmes are highlighted, they will appear on Today's Events . Bouncy alerts programmes,-anyone can-then Miranda or l will stick them on the calendar. Whether it is useful or not is another matter.

The odd thing is that since this forum started, the news near the top of the home page, has mentioned the calendar.
Yet no-one till now asked what calendar
I expect someone will now ask ,what news....

I think people tend to look at the same places, and miss others. I will usually only look at the threads I've participated in, the new posts, and sometimes the shoutbox.

I look at the Shoutbox first...then the Green Room. Then to see who's posted in threads I've been active in.
Perhaps the box at the top would be better if it were more prominent... but I suppose you can't change it.
