It's odd because McEnroe was also a stroppy git in his day but he had the sense to use his anger in a positive way, Kyrgios just self destructs.

Lets hope if he returns next year he has matured a bit.! McEnroe was a stroppy devil but when he was it worked in his favour.
I would also like to see the back of Andrew Castle and John Inverdale .

It seems very odd to me that he doesn't have a coach. He is young enough to need guidance on both the physical training, mental aspects and technique, surely. Now admittedly it would be the job from Hell, but look at the entourage Murray employs to keep him match fit and on his game. Yet the brat doesn't seem to have anyone. Or have I misunderstood that?
PS, minority view alert! I really like John Inverdale......

It seems to me he doesn't want a coach because he doesn't want someone telling him what to do, in other words he's lazy.

I'm sure you are right, hollybeau. But even the super top players still have to work at it, watch their diet etc etc. He is going to fizzle out if he just relies on natural flair. Not that I would miss seeing him, LOL.

Blimey what corker between Cilic and Federer. Now into a fifth set shoot out. Fed looked dead and buried in the fourth but came back to win a very tight tie break.

Looks like the Murray/Tsonga match could be a long one. An hour and a quarter to complete one set.

I was about to say that! Much shorter second set. This could be over in 3 if Wilf doesn't get his act together.

Well done Andy! Two sets up. Tsonga went to sleep in that set.
Jamie Murray and his partner have been dumped out of the men's doubles by unseeded pair Bennetteau and Roger-Vasselin. It was another five setter!
