Great stuff! Unusual to hear six f-bombs on a mainstream US show, isn't it? The only one I didn't take to was drippy Maia but that may change. I always have serious hair envy when I see Christine Baranski, lol. Nice to see Kurt in part one and I do hope he sticks around.

Great stuff! Unusual to hear six f-bombs on a mainstream US show, isn't it? It's made for, in the US, an On Demand streaming service so they can go a bit further with the salty language (and further they do go) and the horizontal jogging (though not too vigorous).

Not impressed by the language, not taken with the former employee.
I may/may not stick with it depending on the language, nice to see kurt, strange to see captain brass.

It was nice to see Kurt, but in view of the storyline I wonder if that's it? He seems to be a keeper, though. As I recall, his infidelity was with a former employee and was a one-night stand, not that that excuses it but he isn't a serial adulterer. I liked the way he and Diane knocked sparks off each other, with wildly differing political views, and if they're going to follow current US politics that would make interesting viewing.
It hasn't really got going yet – this week was just setting up the scenario. I assume we're going to see Diane mentoring the new young associate and we'll see the two of them in court together along with Lucca. I'll certainly keep watching.

Complicated episode tonight but as always for someone trying to understand the American legal system.. Mia seems to be getting in to really deep water if she continues to help her father. Nice to see Elspeth Tasioni back again, she's always a breath of fresh air. I know that Diane has a penchant for chucky costume jewellery but were those chains around her neck tonight an omen of something to come?

I'm enjoying it more than The Good Wife.

That was a nasty, ill tempered episode last night. I wonder what the writer's idea in introducing so many swear words. We had numerous "F" words and even a "C" word. I'm not a prude and swear myself in private but I don't think that the use of expletives like that adds anything to the drama nor does it make it any more adult.

I was quite surprised myself by the level of swearing last night, and to hear the c-bomb on a mainstream US show. It was worse than usual because, of course, they were reading out abusive posts as well as the normal conversation. It doesn't bother me (That would be a bit hypocritical given my level of cursing I'm afraid to say!) but I think they are making a conscious choice to be bold. It's like in US comedy shows whenever they say penis or vagina, there is always the tiniest pause beforehand and it is kind of blurted out, as if to say look at us, aren't we daring!!!!!

I hope that it's not going to continue in this vein. Last week we had a Mother ******. Enough is enough. I'm really quite disappointed.

I've just watched last week's episode. I missed the mother f***** as I was too busy gasping at all the f***s and c***s. And Lucca's beau really should keep his eyes on the road! Agree it's shocking for its own sake and they should tone it down. Poor Diane never seems to get a break, does she? Being sidelined already.

Yes, it's really a shame that the writers have descended to this level.

He is.
It was a lot less sweary this week, I thought. Certainly no c-bombs.

Yet another disappointing episode. I wonder if the writers thought: "What can we do to shock more people? We've done the F word, the C word, the M..F.. words, so, let's use the word "penis" and mention facial and anal rape and link it to a pastor." It's all becoming a bit boring, even predictable and Dianne is looking more and more out of place among all those black faces. At this rate I hope there isn't going to be a second series.

It is more like a soap opera, with various unrelated stories coming and going, than a normal series with just one story. Ten episodes is too long, I just want to get to the end of it, and I would not watch another series.
