Yeah, he was in today's episode. He's the new head honcho at the hospital. I assume he's back for good then if he's got a job. He has returned in the past but only for specials like show anniversaries etc. I think there's only Paul there that he knows from the old days.

I don't remember him . . but then these days I have trouble remembering anything!
I can't believe Toadie is so taken in with the fake Dee. Surely no-one can look exactly like another person? Good storyline though.
Bored with the Steph/Victoria/police woman/daughter mess.

Hehe, Dr Gibbons was around 1985/6, when the show first started with Scott and Charlene and Des and Daphne. He ran a gorillagram agency, as you do. I suppose there are similarities with Aaron with him first doing his male stripping before doing a more main stream job. All characters and storylines and recycled. Steph bores me anyway so the whole story is yawnarama. But... Victorias wife drives off angry with Mark in the car, I think shes going after Steph, and from the short trailer looks like she drives into Paige! I also read that Mark and Sonya remind Paige how precious a life is, so I don't know if that means something's going to happen with their baby

Don't know how credible the story is, but ... Talks over a deal for Channel 5 to continue showing long-running Australian soap have reportedly broken down: “The failure to reach a deal is being blamed on Channel 5’s new American owners Viacom for refusing to sign off on the figures and not understanding the cultural importance of the show in the UK. Neighbours has become a British TV favourite and it would be a sad day if it were to go.” www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2017/mar/19/neighbours-tv-soap-could-disappear-from-british-screens

I don't understand how Home & Away isn't at risk. Are the talks only with the Neighbours makers? And why an issue now? It is a popular show over here and maybe Viacom don't realise that. If Channel 5 get rid of it maybe another channel will pick it up. I can't see BBC having it although it was its original home. ITV have two soaps, Emmerdale is on 6eps a week and Corrie is increasing there's so not sure they'd want any more soaps. Having said that I remember as a kid them having Sons & Daughters, The Flying Doctors, A Country Practice, Home & Away, Shortland Street on, so not beyond the realms. They could show it around 3:30 before the game shows and then repeat it late at night before the gambling takes over the Channel! Channel4 could show it around the time of Countdown. Hopefully common sense will peak through.

According to Fremantle media:
Fremantle Media has attempted to reassure worried fans that Neighbours is in safe hands, insisting that they are currently in the process of planning stories for next year. "Neighbours is a fantastic show, with a legion of loyal fans around the world." a spokesperson for the production company told TV WEEK.
"We enjoy a great working relationship with our broadcast partners, and already have some exciting story plans for next year."
Lets hope it isn't going anywhere.

The show in Australia is on a digital channel and as a large section of it's audience are UK viewers, it's been mentioned that if the UK stop showing it then it could be the end of it in Australia as well.
Hopefully a visit by Adele to the set will give it an added bit of publicity. She should get all her fans to sign the petition, that's a lot of names!

How good was today's episode? Sonya does annoy me but I did feel sorry for her. Yes she told Toadie to go but not to sleep with Dee! And he could have always said no. Toadies banged to rights. He thinks Sonya slept with Mark based on Nell, a child's reaction, not to mention that Sonya is pregnant, ill and has said nothing's going on. Yet Toadie can't even deny his affair!

Yes indeed, a scintillating twenty two minutes ! Toady is such a berk isn't he? Thought from the off HOW could he not know it wasn't Dee? And poor Sonia watching it all unfold on her laptop ? Dee in her scimpies and fat toad in his pants ? Priceless ! And surely in "real life" constable mark wouldn't be able to fraternise and swap information so freely amongst his friends and neighbours ? All very daft but I do love it, pure escapism ! 🤣🤦♀️

And surely in "real life" constable mark wouldn't be able to fraternise and swap information so freely amongst his friends and neighbours ? All very daft but I do love it, pure escapism ! I know. Susan's given him information but then he turns the computer around to show her all this data protected information! Fair enough showing her the photo on the computer because Susan's known Dee a lot longer than Mark so he could have been after confirmation as the photo had different coloured hair, but not the arrest sheet! It's almost as if Toadie was using what Nell said as an excuse. She's a child. If she said there was an elephant in the garden would Toadie expect a real elephant or a toy? If she's saying Mark's in bed, use your common sense Toadie and think. Loved the dream at the start. Marks honest with Aaron who explains that she's going to be giving birth to his child so of course he'll be confused. But know Sonya is going to be free will the feelings continue? But I reckon... Sonya will lose the baby, so will Mark become closer because of that shared experience? And also Toadies in London so Mark'll be the one there at the darkest time. Toadie was worried about their closeness but ironically he could be the one thats now pushed them together. God it's good at the moment. Could the whole, 'C5 dropping Neighbours' headlines be a publicity stunt to get people watching? Also come awards season the Aussie soaps don't get recognised, it's Emmerdale, Corrie, EE, Hollyoaks and Doctors. But I think Neighbours deserves to send a few people over...even if it's 'Best Foreign Soap.' Lol Also honourable mention of Nell. She's so good for how old she is.
