Thanks Damebouncy, I’ll make a note of that. I just posted a thank you to you but it seems to have disappeared!

Yes, thanks Dame - I wasn't expecting it for another 3 months.

I've watched all of series 2 so far - just one episode to go now - and have found it a bit of an improvement on series 1. The people I was least happy about have either gone or shown a different side of their character, and there's been more of the native Americans, plus now the slaves are featuring quite a lot (well, two of them are anyway). It's a bit "episodic", i.e. something which is important one week often seems to be completely forgotten thereafter and to have no bearing on the future plot. Lark Rise to Candleford also used to suffer from this. Nevertheless I'd quite like to see a third series.

I’ve enjoyed it and I’d like to see a third series, there seems to be plenty of room for the story to develop.

Good finale - and maybe the script was written or altered to fit in with real-life constraints. Series 1 & 2 were filmed in Hungary, and they were given a special licence to grow a real tobacco crop, but weren't allowed to either leave it or sell it after filming finished...
There's plenty to take up in a third series - which the announcement at the end said we will be getting next year.

I'm going to have binge-watch the last 3 or so of these. Haven't seen them yet.

That’s interesting GM, so you think they burned it deliberately ?
