This stars Naomi Watts as a psychologist, Jean, who crosses boundaries in her patients live. One patient complains that her daughter doesn't want to know her, but she is quite overbearing, but Jean knows where the daughter will be and make friends with her at a salon and calls herself Diane. As Diane she's living out a fake persona and getting the other side of the story. She also meets a younger woman who she sees as hip and a million miles away from her surbuban home life. Billy Crudup plays the husband who looks like her might have an affair with his P.A. I'm on episode 5. It can be slow in places but I'm intrigued as to what's going to happen next.

I'm not sure. I'll stick with it cause I only have 3episodes left. It's quite slow, but I find it intriguing because it's all building to her husband finding out about her affair with the female barista and then there's the will or won't the husband sleep with his P.A.. and are her patients going to find out that she's gone beyond her moral and ethical boundaries. Her patient, Sam, is in therapy after a broken relationship and his ex girlfriend is the female barista his therapist Jean aka Diane is going out with! So in therapy he talks about getting in contact and getting back together and as Jean/Diane has an interest in the barista she uses the therapy session to talk him out of it and also gain information about the barista. She's spotted a gun at one flat, so I think something deadly is going to happen. I find her character quite selfish, it's like she's trying to live her youth again.
Maybe give episode 2 a try and see how you feel.☺
