I think Tom Allen is definitely Marmite but I like him. He makes me laugh.

Well, he is OTT - but that is what he is there for.
Guest Jamie is as thick as mince - but somehow very likeable.
"Baking is hard" - I thought Jonathon Ross (with his Tupperware!) would burst.

Jamie is the kind of person where, when you first meet him, you think 'Ah, he's sweet'. 5 mins later - 'Dear gods, how thick is he?' 5 mins later - 'Oh my lor, he's annoying. He can't really be this thick, can he? This is an act, surely?' Not long after - 'Bugger off now mate, that's enough.'.

I know it was a hot summer but adding hot sauce to the tent......did they need it - balls.
Wot no Terry.
Ruby did a great tec...shame about the showstopper but I think she would have been safe this week - Rahul, had an off week, still came second (I thought)...Dan doesn’t have a fan at home - Kim’s space turtles, amazing - Manon, bad tec, could have gone this week - Karen, another on the edge - Briony, scraping through - Jon and the tutu, noooooo!
Slip and slide out. And all back next week. Nice.
And was that another mistake by Ch4, as Rahul walked back from his showstopper .....a clip appeared of the ending, with them all, looking pleased.

Hi sleepy Two teams of two. The one behind sticking their arms in front. JR was in front and I can't remember who was behind. I think Tom Allen was in front and the NZ woman behind him. Blinking heck . . I knew my memory was bad . . . well it was very late. Anyway they had to work with dough only going by what the ones in front were instructing. Very funny. Much funnier than my description! Just looked back . . Jamie was behind Jonathon.

What happened to Terry? I missed any announcement. He was ill so missed the whole week. {SPOILER:Click to Show} Consequently there was no elimination, but a suggestion of a double one next week

Whilst a couple of the contestants ended up with chocolate domes because of problems, Rahul went for a dome by design, which was a bit off, I thought.
Loved Kim Joy's turtles in space. Made me think of Great A'Tuin the Star Turtle from the Discworld books!

Thanks Lara Sounds mad, but in a good way! I have to confess my heart sank when I saw Jonathan Ross, but he was very funny with his tupperware box...

My new favourite (well the remaining one of my original favourites!) is Briony so I am glad there was no elimination this week. I don't like Dan though, I find him somewhat conceited.

Was it only me who looked at the chocolate domes and thought what a complete waste of food and that they mostly looked a complete mess once melted. A bit like those shiny glazes where more is left on the tray underneath than on the cake. Every time I see a cookery programme where they do this I just think it's not replicable in an ordinary household why would you make all of that glaze and throw most of it away.
Blancmange is wonderful when it is done right and some of them did look good.
