I'm watching this this evening as it conveniently follows Bake Off.
I've never seen the non-celebrity one but am planning to watch the new one when it airs in the new year as MrC's friend and ex-colleague will be on it. I thought I'd give this a whirl to see how it all works.

I really got into the first series but missed the first episode of The the second so couldn't get into that one. Also with the people having already seeing the 1st series they'd be, or should be, a bit more knowing on what to do.
But I've set the timer for this☺

Yes, this is really up my street and I'm very surprised the first two series didn't attract my attention. I'm enjoying it so far.

I have been watching it (mainly for Jay of course!) They are doing very well but Steph and Dom aren't!

I'm enjoying it. I thought those two would get caught first as they didn't have any sense of urgency about them - they gave the impression they were off on a jolly (don't watch Gogglebox so don't know if that's what they're like on the show. They reminded me of a couple on the last series who didn't treat it that seriously either). I have high hopes for Anneka, so I hope she does well, and the pop stars played a good game last night, even though it could've easily gone wrong for them if the camp site guy had properly dobbed them in. I thought it was interesting how they profiled Spencer to lure him in - is he about to get caught? I'm glad the trailer for the next episode didn't give it away.
For anyone watching, if you came across any of the celebs and helped them on their way, would you dob them in and claim the reward? I wouldn't.

No, I absolutely wouldn't. I think it would be an awful betrayal.
And yes, the series is very good so far.

I wouldn't dob them in but I can understand someone whos JAM seeing £500 and being tempted. It's a game show with celebs, so not life and death, but it's still nice to help rather than hinder...but then I suppose you could say you're helping the orthorities.
I used to like Wanted (?) where people would hide in a phone box somewhere in the UK, with a camera and it would go out live on C4 and people would recognise clues and hints and phone it to tip the authorities (channel 4s hired hunters) off.
And Lost, where a duo would be dropped off in Europe and would have to get to Trafalgar Sq first, but do it by blagging lifts and beds etc. One couple took ages but had such a unique adventure.

A likeable pair - I'm glad they made it.

They both seem lovely and caring young men. I too am delighted they won, even though some people on other forums are doubting it was all random.

The DS one? Yeah, I read the comments over there. They were prepared to rough it to stay off the radar, so they got my respect for that.

Anyone watch last night's non-celeb version? (cakewalk, who is it your other half knows?) If I were the retired woman, I would have got off the coach before Milton Keynes (or bought a 2nd coach ticket to somewhere else and used that one instead). The father and son combo did great to get to that chapel to hole up, but then blew it with the phone call.

I've recorded this, I'll probably watch it Suunday. It's usually good, I just hope they haven't choose overly wannabes to follow round.

MrC's friend was the father from the father and son combo, the Aylings from Dover. They turned up on GMB on Wednesday to be interviewed. I thought 'Bob's'' (we know him by a slightly different name) parting message left in the chapel's visitors' book was priceless! But yes, quite why he rang his own wife's mobile having gone to the trouble of buying a disposable one for his own use surprised me. Very interested to see how this turns out.
