I always thought Scotland Yard was actually in Scotland!

My grandparents were horse racing fans and I used to visit them on a Saturday, when the racing was on (used to watch Doctor Who there, with my dad). When the odds for the horses came on screen, I used to think that Bar was a horse and thought it must have been pretty rubbish cos it was always at the bottom. When I finally shamed myself by asking why it was always at the bottom (to much hilarity from the family) my dad said, "Didn't you think it was odd that it was in every single race?". I replied that I thought it must have needed to practice a lot, because it was so bad (cue more laughter). I WAS only about eight at the time!

When I was very little and learning to read I was sitting between my parents in their bed reading aloud from a book using phonetics...C A T etc. I read the sentence ‘He said every ruddy word he could...’ my dad thought that was a bit strong for a child’s book but of course it was ‘He said every rude word ...’ !

As well as my ship building at Scotland Yard I was convinced that Nuns and Monks were allowed to marry.....

'Unseen bits' episode (24th Jan) was brilliant. So many LOL moments but once again Bob Mortimer's rambling story tops the lot...

What about Henning, buying a colleague a dustpan and brush?

Bob Mortimer is truly one of the originals of our time. Is there any story about his life too eccentric to be true?

What about Henning, buying a colleague a dustpan and brush? "bundling" the golf supplies. Flags etc to get better prices from the makers Lee - "did you have trouble selling the bunkers?" A great compilation - the teeth! - shows what a gem this programme is when half an hour of deleted scenes make you LOL.

Bob Mortimer is on tonight, I assume it's a repeat on BBC1. I wished they'd do a whole series with him as the guest. Tonight, he does his own dentistry while sitting in a gaming chair on top of his kitchen island and using Fuji9 to fix his own crowns! I love it.
There's a RHLSTP (Richard Herring Leciester Square Theatre Podcast) with Bob Mortimer that's very good. I can't remember if I've posted a link before, but here it is, it's very good.
(There's quite a few of these, mainly comedians, and some more well known than others, there's two Greg Davies which are good and a new Matt Lucas and David Morrissey.)
