Just watched my recording of this,it certainly different and the social worker being hung out to dry ,even though they have committed no crime seems very true to actual incidents.
Be interesting to see how this pans out.

I'm finding Sarah Lancashire excellent, completely believable as the caring social worker about to be scapegoated, and giving a very different portrayal from those in 'Happy Valley' or 'Last Tango in Halifax'. Looking forward to the next episode.

Very powerful drama, completely believable and SL’s performance is stunning. She’s being hung out to dry by her bosses I’m afraid.

I always look forward to anything Sarah is in and this didn't disappoint.
I think this was written by the chap who wrote National Treasure.

Yes I believe it is. I agree, she’s one of those people that if she’s in something you know it’ll be worth watching, and always so different in every part. She’s come a long way from Raquel in Corrie!

Watched the first two episodes back-to-back last night.......and thought exactly the same thing! I got a shock when she first spoke with a west country accent, so very different from anything I've heard her do before; what a fine actress she is. I wasn't too sure I would want to watch this (hence the delay in getting round to it) but it is gripping.

It doesn't hurt that she's married to Peter Salmon:

True. But she is worthy of the roles she is getting. It's not like she's Sandra Locke.

She’s got the Brizzle accent perfectly. This is catty too, but hasn’t she put on a lot of weight? Surely she hasn’t put it on just to play this part?
