Rosemary and Thyme, yes of course! I am still enjoying this except (minor quibble) I am not very struck by Mark Benton. Jo Joyner is great IMHO.

I’ve found myself thinking of Rosemary and Thyme without really knowing why. Some part of my brain must remember!

I recommended this to my Dad today when he popped down to say he wasn't going to go anywhere due to the weather. He said to me he didn't know what on earth he would do with himself all day so I suggested this as - although he's not a great one for daytime telly (says it makes him feel guilty) - I thought from what you've all said, that it would be right up his street. He watched it and was very taken with it. So thanks everyone

Isn't the theme tune to Rosemary and Thyme the folk song Scarborough Fair? You know, parsley sage rosemary and thyme?

I didn’t watch it so I don’t know but it sounds likely.

I do like these programmes where everything is tied up in one episode (just like Father Brown). I find some other murder mysteries overlong with superfluous padding and repetition.
SPOILER ALERT
It's always interesting to spot the murderer early on. At one time it was inevitably the most well known actor in the programme so I was expecting Timothy West to be the guilty party in the episode riddled with references to Hamlet. How wrong I was.

It's a lot harder to work out the killer in this than it is in DiP

This is one giant 'look how versatile I am' for the actor who plays Sebastian.
