I'm pretty sure it was deliberate - the character seemed to be inspired by Gordon!
I thought this was a very enjoyable episode, with shades of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane and/or Fawlty Towers, and I loved the pedalo swan chase!

I still have two to go, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I hope it doesn't get binned off by the powers that be.

Had to laugh today - Lou (Jo Joyner) has the same iPad cover I do, pink and sparkly! It’s the first time I’ve seen something I own as a TV prop.

Today's was the first one where I worked out the plot early on. Which is good going, considering how many crime novels I've read!

I loved that pedalo Swan chase. Pity they were facing upstream, as the best denouement would have been to somersault down the weir....
......or be attacked by real swans!
I don’t think you can train fowl, though, can you?

Caught up with the final episode on line today. Great fun, well acted and some clever plots. Sebastian ("3 years at RADA") is a star! Love the way he hangs around the office in costume, and his undercover stints - the college in particular - were brilliant.
I hope we get another series.

BBC One have renewed Shakespeare & Hathaway – Private Investigators for a second series.
The daytime drama series will return for another ten episodes in 2019.
