Same today - time to reset the recorders folks.
Another brilliant episode - and Mr Condell (minus the coconuts) was in it!

Mine seems to have started the same time as the programme today. I have no BBC1 series links going into next week at the moment! This happened last week as well and they suddenly resurrected themselves at the end of the week. Most odd. Is there a new data entry clerk?

I've only watched the first one so far. Absolutely brilliant! I was howling with laughter when Frank did the over-the-top crying at the cremation. I'm recording them all and trying to space them out a bit, because this programme is so good, and I don't want to get through the series too quickly.

Many TV reviewers are puzzled as to why this is not shown on a Saturday night, along with Father Brown.

Many TV reviewers are puzzled as to why this is not shown on a Saturday night, along with Father Brown. I totally agree. It's at least a million times better than Casualty.

My recording failed completely today, for "unknown reason", & I had to watch it on iplayer. After years of having very few problems, in the last couple of months I've started to have quite a few recordings with the start or end cut off, nearly always on BBC. My main recorder is on Freesat, which may be different from freeview, and is set to "auto" - i.e. driven by the transmitted programme start and end signals. It seems someone at the Beeb is screwing up the placement of those signals and needs to get their act together.
I had this too, and last week, on both freeview and Freesat. I think it was a more general EPG problem, because when I looked at the programme guide it got stuck retrieving details (for lots of channels) beyond Monday. Then later all was OK. Not sure we can blame the Beeb for that one.

The series links for BBC1 restored themselves last night; I checked them after Shetland. This was the only channel that had this problem on my set, even BBC2&4 were OK.
Last week during APTCH which is the same BBC1 slot as S&H, my recording started late a few times. Because I adore that show I recorded Escape to the Country as well to ensure I captured the last few minutes.

All today my EPG has had "No show details" for BBC1 HD between 12.00 and 3.00. Tomorrow OK, other channels OK. Set S&H up as a manual recording (starting at 2.10 for safety).
