I glanced up at one point and thought 'why is he trying to fill Yorkshire puddings with cream?' and then realised it was choux buns! Yorkshire pudding with jam and custard is lovely.

As a child, I was used to having Yorkshire pudding with blackberry vinegar, made by my grandmother. It was delicious.
Would anyone have a recipe?

My aunt used to make raspberry vinegar every year. She used it as a cold remedy.

Although entertaining I didn't find last night's as good as the previous two. Not as funny.

I enjoyed it. Jamie was a scream who improved over each task. Tim Minchin annoyed me. He finished early for the first challenge but - and this may have been the editing - he did not seem to offer to help anyone else. He also seemed to have a limited understanding of oven temps and baking times. He added a cream filling to his meringues and then seemed surprised that they slid down.
Ruth Davidson, Scotland's favourite 'shovel faced lesbian' (her words!) was a star - although her loaf was well done on the top the marble effect inside was lovely. I also like the singers (Ella?) meringue tower, her trick with the food colouring in the bag was inspiring.
I think they are all good sports to bake in front of the cameras.

Yeah, the marble effect cake looked lovely, the colours worked so well together, obviously orange and chocolate. And the meringue towers were great, the pineapple one worked well because the little spikes on the top of the meringues made the right pattern for pineapple. It wasn't as funny as some episodes, but some good baking.

Jamie's loaf - which resembled Toad in the Hole - provided a lot of mirth.....

Jamie's loaf looked exactly my toad in the hole looks like when I make one (which is only ever made because MrC moans that he hadn't had one for a while).

That was pretty bad. Having said that I'm sure someone on the regular bake off had some raw dough in their cake and they're keen amateurs. I once made a quiche where the pastry on the bottom was raw after I'd cooked it. I didn't blind bake the pastry and then add the ingredients, I just added all this wet ingredients which meant the pastry didn't cook....also the filling didn't set! It was a disaster. My cooking now consists of cornflakes cakes. Open chocolate, place in a bowl and melt in the microwave. Add cornflakes. What can go wrong!😶
