This was in the Arena strand. Loved it.
90 minutes of all four of them (Eileen Atkins, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Joan Plowright) recounting tales as they would have in the best tradition of Parkinson's Saturday night chat show at its peak. It should have been longer!

I saw about half of it (after I gave up on the Soap awards). Yes, it was great viewing.

This was an hour and twenty minutes of pure joy for me. I do love their ever so slightly anarchic take on things: I would love to be an eaves dropper on more of their conversations . There were so many laugh-out-loud moments but I especially loved Maggie Smith's story of getting her own back on Olivier after he had criticised her vowels when they were in Othello together.

Marvellous! I wish they had made more than one.

Enjoyed every minute. A non repeatable gathering, although we were told that they do see each other now and then, but I suppose not all of them at the same time.
Such stories! Such memories of the past! Such personalities!
Truly wonderful.....

I just watched this, what formidable women they are.
And they all seemed still "normal" as in not turned into slebbers, just famous actresses good at their job.

Watched this last night. Brilliant. And they were so funny with their anecdotes. I didn't realise Joan Plowright was blind

Just watched this. Wasn't it marvellous? With Judi, who can barely see herself guiding Peggy back inside. I think the phrase "caustic wit" would describe it. My favourite bit was Judi describing the paramedic, and telling him to F off!

A similar one with the boys ("Please Sir") would also be good, imo.
Brannagh, McKellan, Jacobi - they must have lots of stories to tell.

It depends on if the four of them are friends, though. Wouldn't be so good if they don't like each other.

Yes, from what I understood, the women got together regularly, or kept in contact, which is remarkable as they all had busy lives and different working times. You have to make it happen, no?
