Yes it's the interminable ads encouraging people to bet or play bingo on line. The bingo ones in particular cynically target women.

It's the ones that picture groups of women all together having a great laugh and doing things that make me laugh. Those aren't the people playing on-line bingo. They are too busy going out and having fun.

My mum goes to bingo about once a month on a Saturday lunchtime. There are lots of other widowed ladies of her age group who go & they are kind of "bingo friends" it's more about the social thing for them.
I cannot see the draw of on line bingo, poker or any other gambling though. Surely the main part would be seeing other people, in the case of poker, trying to recognise their "tells" and so on. Having said that I remember years ago someone on Dragon's Den pitching some kind on on line bingo & Theo telling the dragons that Mrs P played on line very often, most nights in fact. I know she is in a position to not bother about losing a few quid or more a night but it still suprised me that it was her chosen evening entertainment.

The British Gas advert showing how you can make your home warm features a penguin. Why? Penguins like the cold. To make it worse, its wrapped up in a thick coat! To me all this advertises is British Gas's cruelty to animals.

I detest the Go Compare advert with the Taxi driver (who looks like Greg Wallace) It makes me want to chuck something at the screen...the mute button comes in very handy.

I agree , they portray the bingo chat rooms as a happy, jolly social events .. but in reality it is a person sat on their own typing words into a chat box talking to strangers !!! And I can't bear that Money Supermarket ad with the dance off !!!

I hate the Money Supermarket ads with a passion. Horrible in every way. Why are they still broadcast? I am at a loss.

I am finding the ads about funeral plans depressing. Where are the funny ads when we need them? Death comes to all of us and the cost of a funeral can be huge but the subject is advertised time and again during Daytime tv.
