The chewing gum guy walking out of a lift and then getting down to a dance groove whilst walking down the stairs is a real hoot.

When will Jet2 holidays change the TV ad music? It has been on for far too long

I had to google the ad….. Turned out to be very familiar but I had had no idea which firm was being advertised! Just that it was very irritating

If I hear the same clips and 'Comedy is back in the building' once more, I shall scream.

On the day raffles and tombolas in church halls and community centres have a special exemption in the gaming acts. You do not need a licence to have a small raffle at the WI cake sale.
It is expected that the prizes have little monetary value e.g. bottle of whisky, £50 M&S voucher, some bubble bath etc. It is also expected that people will be purchasing a low cost ticket on the day and not in advance.
If you have large expensive prizes you can still be exempt as long as you only sell to people on the day and the ticket price is low e.g.£1 for a strip of tickets.
If you are having tickets printed and intend to sell to the public weeks before the event via advertising or via club members and their friends and family in order to raise a large sum of money e.g. hospice advertised raffle with tickets posted out to a large mailing list, you need a gaming licence.
They're not that expensive if you regularly have large raffles otherwise you are restricted to small on the day events that perhaps raise £250 as opposed to the hospice that will be hoping to raise perhaps £25,000 and are selling to strangers.

I see Tesco have replaced Scary Woman thank goodness! I think the new one of the very mild mannered guy at the checkout suddenly belting out "I got the Power" is funny and a big improvement on its predecessor.

The one that annoys me at the moment, is the Cornetto ad. How many houses are large enough for a mobility scooter to be ridden in? The most annoying part is when the 'old dear' hits those high notes while singing the jingle!

The Samsung phone ad is driving me mad! Must be easily influenced if just the sight of one turns them into quivering wrecks

They look a bit like Star Trek communicators. However, I’m used to an iphone now, so I’ll stick with that.

Currently Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and Galaxy chocolate are both running ads saying they plan to make conditions better. One says by 2030 and the other that they will create more justice.
Well very nice for them I'm sure but I've now gone off their products. Why do people working on their cocoa plantations have to wait until 2030 for better conditions. And what exactly is this vague intention of creating more justice.
These are multi national huge companies- just do it now for God's sake. Then run an ad saying you've done it.

Or better still, just do it as part of being a decent employer and don't trumpet how wonderful you are for it to the world.

OK, I’m probably sad, but I do like the singing blackcurrants in the Ribena ad
