... and being in the clink is turning George into even more of a rude, ungrateful little s***: if I were Will or Emma after that visit, I'd not bother again unless he showed more civility I suppose this is to show how the prison experience can change people - Emma really is upset at that prospect - but let's face it, George was a s*** long before he got himself in trouble with the law!

I had the same thoughts Mal. If he made that comment about putting the full amount into his account, I’d have told him what he could do! He was just so rude to them. 😡
Im also less than impressed by this Justin as Scrooge malarkey, speaking about Kirsty as if she were a Cratchett.

The wonderful June Spencer who played the not so wonderful Peggy has passed away, aged 105. She was terrific imho.

I just posted about that on the In Memoriam thread....
Well, he's just redeemed himself by handing Kirsty and Rex a new contract to sign - and even asking for less land rent (uh?) As Lilian said sceptically, what's he up to??
Fallon has been messed around again by being offered an even more unsuitable unit for her new business - definite cold feet now, wonder if she'll go through with it!

I'm not sure Justin is up to anything at the moment, he was humbled by the visitation of the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come in the form of the episode the other night when he was fooled by the spoof online tour of the rewilding project that is now, mysteriously, inaccessible. Anyway, they have their contract on the very day that Peggy's voice has been permanently stopped!
I suspect Fallon will go back to the tearoom amid sighs of relief from N&T who won't believe their luck.

So was that AI tour Robert Snell fooling him then? I wondered if that was the case but it hadn’t been acknowledged by Thursday. I just didn’t think Justin acted the whole SL very well.
I haven’t heard yesterdays epi yet, but cannot believe Fallon is being messed around by the EV people (and doesn’t Justin has some kind of investment there?). Whatever she chooses to do I hope she doesn’t go back to the tearoom unless they give her the lease again. I think they treated her quite badly there. Also if she skulks back, I doubt very much if Nocasha will offer the fantastically improved pay deal. But at least Harrison could go back to part-time work…. Also, if Nocasha does sell this (most unrealistic) drinks business, they won’t need Fallon will they? Except to take on what was Emma’s role!!!!

They haven't said so but I think it had to be as 'Rex' was interacting with him in a way that AI couldn't. TA taking a pop at Justin and at AI perhaps! And it is just after Hallowe'en when ghosts and ghouls are in the air ...
Fallon is indeed being messed around. They way they're describing it, it sounds like a whole shopping centre. She has been offered a less favourable unit for her cafe so there are clearly several. Doing what I wonder? It hadn't occurred to me that Justin was behind it but you're probably right. The sooner Jolene and Kenton retire the better, then she and Harrison can take over the pub! There is a long tradition of ex-coppers becoming pub landlords.

Fallon has done the sensible thing, encouraged by Harrison's disdain, and decided not to take the unsatisfactory unit - good of Jolene to offer her finance, but Fallon was right, it wouldn't have helped long-term if she couldn't even put in the amount of tables and chairs needed. So whoever owns the buildings can take a long walk off a short pier! If Justin and/or his associates are involved in it, we'll hear about it soon enough
And that spoof 'AI tour' was funny but I have to know, Marion - what's 'the whole SL'??

The whole story line, as in the Scrooge bit.
Fallon clearly realised that the new unit was wrong, but Harrison and Jolene kept encouraging her to borrow money and still go for it. I wonder who has got the nice first unit she was offered. Perhaps a friend of Justin’s, to whom she had explained her business plan?

How come Harrison and Fallon have such bad money problems? There must be plenty of married police sergeants who have children to support and maybe the wife doesn’t work. It might be tight but he is hardly on minimum wage.

That's true - and now he's talking about doing overtime!
SL = Story Line, would never have guessed that; I thought maybe you had invented a rude description of Justin that couldn't be posted in full
And she almost did just that, only Natasha had offered Emma the vacant position first, so Fallon bowed out despite Emma's protestations (which carried forward into this evening as well - doesn't she go on )

I googled it and minimum sergeant’s salary seems to be just under £50k. I mean they don’t exactly live high on the hog do they?

Just shy of 50K sounds like a fair amount of moolah to me, but then I suppose it would to someone on benefits
Calling our Archers historians, I need your help after Helen has been featuring frequently in recent episodes (in relation to buying Kirsty's house). It had me thinking: what happened with Lee and why did they split when he seemed such a good antidote to ghastly psycho Rob? (I think this separation took place while I was in hospital last year and therefore missed at least six weeks' worth of the programme)

... and another unsatisfactory prison visit with George being an arse again, this time to Neil and Susan. "If anything happens to me in here, it's your fault" indeed! I hope something does...

I think HellQueen just decided he wasn’t Mr. Right. And considering she treated him more or less like her third son, it’s only surprising to me he hadn’t ended it earlier! I thought he had emigrated to join His Girls, but that was obviously only an extended visit as he was entertaining My Boys last week.
