I wouldn't think Fallon would want to use "Jill's sacred space" again, with all the fuss Ruth was making about it - or even do another job for Ruth, come to that!
A (welcome) break from 'Emmer' etc tonight, with the parking of Mick's motorhome taking centre stage - Jolene and Kenton could have shown more enterpreneurial spirit and suggested he pay some form of 'rent', I thought after ...

There are times when I really can't be bothered with TA and this is one of those times. I deal with GPs a lot and there is no way a real-life Azra (sp?) would be a) frightened of a mouse, and b) not wise to her son's shenannigans. They don't have time and they don't suffer fools gladly, in my experience.
As for Helen the saint, she is yet again making it all about her and even reworking Kirsty's need to sell her house as her own problem. Cue homeless single mother with fatherless boys struggling to make their way in the world. As if Helen ever had any financial difficulties that her parents wouldn't fork out to resolve! It's such a pity as the coercive control storyline was very well done and given time to breathe, so to speak. The scriptwriters just can't resist the opportunity to wring every ounce of angst out of any situation, can they.

Hmmm, I felt just like that with tonight's episode, in which nothing of any great consequence seemed to happen (though I was slightly distracted for the first part of it by the distinct sounds of a row going on somewhere!) Don't think I missed a great deal, though, apart from Jolene's growing exasperation at Mick's grounded motorhome - and Leonard finding it harder now to cycle up steep inclines

I mean, why on earth didn’t they just insist Mick paid attention instead of rabbiting on, and tell him in no uncertain terms that making that racket was unacceptable before 9.00. And if he doesn’t like it, he can jog on. What is wrong with people?

Well, Mick isn't jogging on any time soon, turning down Joy's offer to move in with her as he wanted 'the right moment' in the future Jolene and Kenton's dismay was almost palpable! He really is a thick-skinned ignoramus over this issue. I wouldn't be surprised if something happened to that disaster-on-wheels that he calls his home (do Jolene and Kenton know any local friendly arsonists? )
Justin was back on 'Mr Nasty' form, savaging Brad over his rewilding promo video - though after it had been praised by someone who mattered, he was quick enough to perform an about-turn and cosy up to Brad in the pub without so much as an apology for his earlier outburst. I do wonder how much longer the young man will be able to juggle George's business with his own studies, he seems to be struggling as it is...

Does Brad give all the earnings from his endeavours to George or is he just keeping the brand alive ? Excuse while I 😂😂😂. Just in vile, insisting Brad does this next video and misses his lectures but Brad needs to get a backbone, or borrow Tracey’s.

I would agree. Tracey has already had a go at Emma who can't see beyond her golden boy being in clink. I so hope Brad's studies don't go down the tubes because he is too easily manipulated by stronger personalities. Justin needs to meet with an accident. His Scrooge revelation didn't last long!

Chance would be a fine thing - his sense of self-preservation is pretty strong!
So, tonight was given over entirely to a mix-up with an American couple who were misdirected to Jakob's home by some holiday-booking website - Kate was overcome with goodwill as said couple were both in their seventies, and she practically ordered Jakob to let them stay in his cottage while he and Kate bedded down in one of Spiritual Home's yurts. He was not a happy bunny so I fancy someone isn't going to have the best of nights...

It’s BBC Scam Safe week, so lots of programmes all week, think we are due more in Ambridge tomorrow!

I haven't listened to last night's episode yet but did have a peek at ML where it's been so roundly slated that I will need more coffee before I can face it! TA was originally billed as 'an everyday story of country folk' but the writers seem to be portraying everyone as an idiot lately.
There was a time some years ago when there were some gritty storylines on the go – Ruth's cancer and its aftermath, Brian's affair and its effects on his own family and the wider community, the Grundys being evicted from Grange Farm, all of which were happening at the same time. They were credible and moving. It went sharply downhill when Sean O'Connor took over as editor and turned it into a pulpy soap, culminating in Helen stabbing Rob, and it hasn't really recovered. Of course it depends what you want from a radio soap, it is drama after all, but I would like to think at least some of them were behaving in a way that is believable.

I wondered what on earth was going on when the epi started last night. I assume Chuck and partner have been scammed by the website, and are not trying to scam Kate and Jakob. But who in their right mind would then offer them the house and go to sleep in a yurt! I laughed when poor old Jakob stomped off to lock up his valuables. Tonight we have the prospect of another Scam Alert Week special with Jean and her pension investment in EE. Quite how Jean, who barely scrapes a living, managed to get this sizeable pension pot has not been properly explained.

Listened. Awful. I'm sure you're right about the scam though.

It’s BBC Scam Safe week, so lots of programmes all week, think we are due more in Ambridge tomorrow! You were right - this time Ruth and David were the targets of the 'holiday let' scam, though at least they had a barn to spare ...is this for all the displaced holidaymakers, to bunk up together??
And Marion - what's this about Jean's pension pot, I can't even bring to mind who Jean is! (obviously it's not just the programme that's losing the plot )

Thanks, Dippergirl, no wonder I was confused, I thought when reading Marion's post that 'EE' was some kind of pension provider
