Channel 4’s spy thriller Traitors will premiere on Sunday February 17th at 9pm.
Traitors tell the story of story of Feef, a bold 20-something woman who joins the Civil Service in 1945, just as the Labour party sweeps to victory, defeating Winston Churchill in an unexpected landslide. Her ambition to make something of her life goes unrecognized by her family, and is further complicated by her American lover.
Feef agrees to spy on her own government for the Americans, who have a hidden agenda in making sure England’s burgeoning Socialist ambitions don’t play into Soviet hands.
Struggling to work out what she stands for, and what she’s capable of, Feef must learn to think for herself and play by her own rules at a time when knowledge becomes power and nothing and no one is what they seem.
The drama series stars Emma Appleton (Clique), Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard), Michael Stuhlbarg (The Looming Tower), Luke Treadaway (Unbroken), Brandon P. Bell (Dear White People), Stephen Campbell Moore (The Last Post) and Matt Lauria (Parenthood).

I'll watch this as I like Stephen Campbell Moore and the Treadaway brothers are usually good. (Is it Harry in Mr Mercedes?)

Anything with Keeley Hawes is worth trying I believe. I shall have to record this on +1 and watch later in the week.

Yes, I’m recording it on the +1 too - so much stuff on Sundays, so little the rest of the week!!

I agree. However, this will have to be an exception for me, as spy dramas (especially cold war ones) aren't my thing.

I watched the first episode but will probably not bother with the rest as the lighting is appalling - the colour is all washed out and practically all the action seems to take place in the dark. I guess that this is a techniqiue taught in modern Media Studies courses in an attempt to create "atmosphere". Well for me it fails and makes the programme unwatchable. I can confirm that there is nothing wrong with the brightness, contrast and colour settings of my TV set.

Remember when the BBC kept telling us it was our TVs that were the problem, and not the bad lighting and mumbling?!

Well I've watched half an hour and don't know if I shall stick with it. The main problem I have is with this stupid creature Feef. Now if they had snowflakes in 1945 she surely would have been one. I shall persevere in case the espionage aspect redeems it but so far Feef and her American bloke are ghastly and we haven't had enough Keeley.

Remind me, what is DOGS? (Apart from the furry things that go woof) Digital On-Screen Graphics (if I remember rightly). The channel logo in the top left corner of the screen.
