just seen a trailer for this at the cinema. A new series based on the Yul Brinner Westwotld film. Looks promising. It's not out until October I think but I've just put it on my SKy Never miss service.
If any Sky subscribers don't know about Never miss, it's really great, and free. You simply type in the name of the series or film and it will alert you by email a week before it is broadcast. You can even click "record" when it alerts you and it will do the business for you if you have Sky +. So if you are not at home but are elsewhere in the UK (not sure if it works from abroad) then you dont have to miss the first epi of your favourite show.

Seen the first two episodes and think it is very good, a slightly slow start to lead you in to what is happening and plenty of hints that a lot more is going on.

Watched 3 eps now and find it intriguing, it also has Groundhog days but not funny ones.

This is a fantastic first episode! From the flies (seems to be a recurring motif), the creation of the robots in the lab and interrogation, the Leonardo da Vinci image of a man with arms outstretched, who is "real" or not, the whole look of it, Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris! It's like Humans, but with more depth and interest. Hope it continues to be as absorbing.

Unfortunately sqwerty it has descended into too much violence for us, not enough light and shade, the violence is relentless and although we've seen it to this series conclusion will probably not bother with the next.

The second season of Westworld will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Monday April 23rd at 2am, simulcast with HBO’s east-coast feed.
The season premiere will also be repeated later that same day in the show’s regular 9pm time-slot.

Warner Brothers have produced a video game based on Westworld, only to get sued over it by top game maker Bethesda Softworks.

What did people think of Westworld season 2?
After a good first season I found season 2 did not add anything of interest, mostly just a continuation of a fractured and disjointed timeline, some good parts but it did not really keep my attention. I will not bother with the third season if it is made.

Visually very good, but - especially the later episodes - largely incomprehensible. I continued watching for the spectacle but it's some time since I understood what on earth was going on.
A third season was confirmed some time ago, and Thandie Newton & Evan Rachel Wood will definitely be in it because they've been reported as negotiating new contracts with equal pay to the men, but it's at least 18 months away. The shows creators have said they're not interested in repeating themselves and have hinted at a move away from Westworld - to Raj-, Shogun- or one of the other worlds we haven't seen yet, and even to our real world. This would keep the interest up and make me more likely to watch when it arrives.
