Didn't they do something similar to that last year? Slebs with their real-life spouses.

Spare me from more people doing Dirty Dancing, please. I just know that will feature.
They did do a show with spouses. Don't think it recreated/ruined iconic numbers though.

It sounds horrific, perhaps because of the level of 'celebrity' that I am imagining, but I also don't like the idea of recreating iconic dance routines. The result will only ever be second best, by a mile probably.

It sounds like "Let's Dance for Comic/Sports Relief" which was on BBC One on Saturday nights. Not original at all. It'll probably bomb after one series.

This starts tomorrow night at 6.30pm. From the trailers it looks like a rip off of Let's Dance for Comic Relief, as I originally thought.

Just watching this now and its no SCD, the music used is very samey, at least on SCD you get modern mixed in with Motown, swing, classical etc.
But they must have spent some money on the sets/staging because it was big. And Lucy-Jo Hudson was amazing, as was Johnny, but I knew he could dance cause he was in a CIN Eastenders dance and there's a film where he plays a dancer so it was more of a surprise from Hudson.

Recorded and watched the repeat yesterday, and cringed at the person "doing" or TRYING to do Swayze, dreadful!
Loved the delicious and talented cast of Jersey Boys hamming it up at the start and end of the ads.

Wow, I thought Johnny was soooo good doing Puttin' On The Ritz, just that slight slip at the very end but it was amazing. I had the biggest from on my face, I love it when they do something really well. I love the older routines, I remember Tom Chambers on SCD, he was very good too.

Didn't get to see all of this last Sunday ,so watching the repeat.
It is not cringe making at all, quite entertaining and the dancing is at a very high standard .

OMG, just watching this and Johnny and Chrissy are amazing. I mean both are trained in dance and I think Chrissy is a dancer but even so they're so good and their solo dances (Chandiler and Fred Astaire) as well as their duet dances have been brilliant. I've also been surprised at how good Lucy-Jo Hudson's been, I've only ever seen her act but if she can sing as well I can see a big musical in her future. I've enjoyed this. I wouldn't mind another series.
