I have never been a fan of Michel Jackson. 50 year old men don't, shoudn't sleep with young boys.
Two-part documentary telling the stories of two young boys who were befriended by singer Michael Jackson. In this film they speak out about the abuse they endured.

It's a tricky one as there is not doubt that Michael himself was abused. Reports suggest that he was an innocent, enabled by his great wealth to indulge childhood fantasies of creating love where he himself didn't have any. That does not make his actions with young boys acceptable but it does make it understandable. I feel very sad for him. A huge talent wasted too young.

My recording failed, unable to track programme it said. If anyone else is in the same boat and wants to see it, it is repeated at 22.00 on Saturday and Sunday on 47. I did look on All4 but couldn't see it on there, using the Firestick.

Was he? What proof is there?
Part 2 is tonight making it an almost four hour documentary.
I found it interesting and not sensationalised. The two men involved sat quietly just relating what happened to them. The most disturbing part for me apart from the graphic descriptions of what Jackson did, was when he asked one of the mothers if her son could stay with him for a year. Sensibly she answered "No".
It was quite easy to see how they could be pulled in to the fantasy of Neverland; endless games and expensive presents. Even the parents were seduced although one mother did wonder why when they were invited to stay in expensive hotels, that she and her husband were allocated rooms far from where Jackson and one of the boys were staying. The hotel's excuse was always the same; that there were no suites available nearer, they were all occupied. It seems that the hotels were in collusion with Jackson. Why did no one wonder what an adult male was doing sharing a room with an unrelated seven year old? What sort of excuse did Jackson give? Questions it seems that will never be answered.

Correction. I have just checked All4 and it is on there today.
I don't know about sexual abuse, but isn't it generally accepted that MJ was physically abused by his father? I think he has said that in interviews.
I can remember being in a Los Vegas casino theatre and MJ came into the audience surrounded by a group of at least ten young children. Now the rumours were rife even then but the whole audience around me stood up, cheered and hollered. We two remained seated! When he left, everyone went mad for him again.

I think the smokescreen was the 'Neverland' thing, the zoo, the presents, I want to be young forever. That was his cover, as much as Saville's cover was his eccentric personality and apparent charity work. All a clever cover for the manipulation going on behind the scenes. Michael's public presentation of "I just want to recapture my childhood in all these innocent young people" was a trope to deflect from what was truly going on.
Jackson could have done a lot to help children living miserable lives, he didn't.

I fell asleep while watching the second part last night so I'll have to catch up on my recording. However, I woke up in time to see the last half hour and caught up with the reasons the two boys had lied at the Jackson trial and said that he had never molested them. Jackson himself had coerced them both in to never telling anyone what had gone on between them saying that they would both go to jail if they told. In any case, they were his friend. The great Michael Jackson was their friend. 7 and 10 years old (such malleable ages) and they had Michael Jackson as their friend.
It was interesting that both the boys eventually married but it took them years to tell their families and respective wives what had really happened. There seemed to be genuine tears from almost all of those affected. One of the mothers was so upset that she had allowed herself to be conned by Jackson and had been unable to protect her son.
There has inevitably been reaction from the hard core Jackson fans that refuse to believe that their idol was capable of such acts. There was a demonstration outside Channel 4's headquarters. Interestingly some of Canada's radio stations have withdrawn Jackson's music. I wonder how many British radio stations will have the moral courage to do the same?

I watched part one last night and plan to watch part two today. It was a pretty dignified film I thought, not showy or hysterical just quietly talking to camera. It was staggering that Wade was just seven when all this started. Seven!

I think BBC radio might have suspended playing his music. I don't know if that is temporary.

I saw this on the Flemish public channel and was shocked. 7 years old? A very young child but old enough to remember what happened. A pity he was never punished for his despicable behaviour. Words fail me. His: I love children and would never harm them, the biggest lie if there ever was one. He lacked morals, definitely, which made him do all the things he did. Show pornography to young children? It was so bad, you could not have believed he, the super star did that. And that's exactly what the mothers/fathers did.

Have only watched the first part of this - not sure if there's a desire to see the second but agree that what I did see was "spare and unsensationalist" as described in one of the links above.
" - in private rooms behind several closed doors rigged with a warning system of bells - " begs the question who put those in? Was it a technician. If so, did they not question the need for this type of "security" or did they just consider it another of his "eccentricities"? Did they have to sign a "non-disclosure" contract? Were they just content to have well paid work? So many questions.
Also, if MJ felt the need for such a system then he evidently knew he was doing wrong.
He was undoubtedly an extremely talented man but his music cannot, should not, be allowed to redeem his noxious, toxic, immoral behaviour towards the children.
Brings to mind .... power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
