I thought it was good. Funny in places but also some depth.

Who knew Fanny was a maths genius! Her division of the Yorkshire Puds was a triumph.

I loved it too. Pity they couldn't have made a longer episode in view of Christmas. Shame about the portrait going to the basement.

But the plague pit lady ghosts were thrilled to receive it!

I’ve always friends Fanny the least likeable of the ghosts, so this redeemed her for me - just as last year’s (which I watched again last week) did for the MP.
The plague people must get very bored in the pit. They deserve some eye candy 😀

Just caught up with it. Absolutely great, as usual! Good to see Fanny’s back story.

Seems the US version works, they have a second season! Interesting to see the differences in the appearance of the characters.

There's a Viking! That's genius. The soldier is from the War of Independence. Robin the Stone Age man has been recast as a Native American. The trouserless man is either an politician or a stokebroker, judging from the suit. A nightclub singer in the red? The lady in the c19th dress is probably the owner of the mansion. There's a scoutmaster! Don't know who the lady in the flowery skirt is though? And according to Twitter, they have cholera victims in the cellar who know all about the plumbing! Can't see anyone headless.

Oh wow. Will have to see if I can find it - it's almost word for word! From what I have read, the first two are the British ones rewritten but then it heads off in other directions. They were smart enough to make it American, rather than put a gloss on what we did. So it is different
