It's nice "cosy crime" viewing and the scenery is to die for.
Last weeks story around motor racing was very good.

Didn't even get close to working that one out. Which was a pleasant surprise as, given how much crime drama I've watched, I usually work out at least half of it!
And the two leads are becoming nicely rounded characters now. The conversation about the boyfriend was very good!

I so agree, the plot twist was great and unexpected.
The conversations between the two detectives are superbly written and acted in such a normal and understated way. There is such generosity of spirit.
And I loved the little cluedo figures. Not to mention 'What's a lifestyle?' - 'Cushions and things', so cutting through the whole thing in a nutshell.

I enjoyed that too, and also failed to guess whodunit.

I was also miles away from working that one out. A very Death-in-Paradise denouement, with the complex explanation delivered to the assembled suspects.

Finally caught up with last weeks episode which was great fun. But was I alone in hoping that the final scenes would show TWO dogs? Spike!!!

Repeat on Thursday evening after the ITV News. Just as well, when I watched it I found I had slept through an hour of it last Sunday

A very silly story for the final one, but SO watchable!
My main bug bear was that Dodds had spoken to the killer - whose identity was not known - but was not asked to provide a description for a sketch artist!

I wondered how the killer had found out about Dodds needing a Catholic divorce? Also how Dodds did not wonder why he hadn’t seen that priest before, given that appeared to be his regular church?
However all in all very enjoyable!
Next week we appear to have “Murder in Provence” starring Roger Allam, what’s not to like!

2/3 of the way through and haven't read any comments. It's Father Luton, isn't it? Not sure why yet.

I'm really annoyed at that one! The only reason I didn't work out the motive was cos the actor looked too young! I was expecting it to be the father that Dodds had arrested and the son was avenging him. Gahh!

I thought he looked too young too!
