The third series of Channel 4’s co-production Humans will premiere on Thursday May 17th at 9pm.
Humans is set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a ‘Synth’ – a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart.
The drama series stars Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Emily Berrington, Colin Morgan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Ruth Bradley and Mark Bonnar.
In the show’s third series, one year after the dawn of consciousness, a decimated and oppressed Synth population fights to survive in a world that hates and fears them. In a divided Britain, Synths and humans struggle to broker an uneasy peace, but when fractures within the Synth community start to appear, all hope of stability is threatened.
Set against the maelstrom of political chaos, the ethical complexities of the dawn of a new species play out across a thrilling multi-stranded narrative. As the Synth family, Mia, Niska and Max continue to battle for their right to survival, Joe Laura and their children Mattie (Lucy Carless), Toby (Theo Stevenson) and Sophie (Pixie Davies) struggle to come to terms with the cataclysmic events of last season.

That's great news. I didn't realise it was coming on so soon. I love this programme!

Great opener. Good to see I remember most of the ending of the last series (which is novel)
Thought the instructions the 'mother' of the little boy starting school for the first time funny.

I'm wondering if the video of the supposed synth cutting his hand, and the blue stuff coming out, is faked, and it's really humans who planted the bomb. I don't like the look in Max's eyes now. I really hope what happened to the two synths who were murdered doesn't cause him to advocate violence, but I think it probably will. It's getting very dark.

Tonight it was the final episode. Great twists and some sadness. I won't say more as some people have probably not seen it yet. I hope there is another series.

Well that was all rather sad, I thought. They could have done with ninja synth Niska at the railyard not going all Zen with faux Odi up that mountain.

It was pretty depressing. I think it will probably take a very different direction when/if it returns. On the whole though, this series has been excellent and I'm prepared to stick with it if it comes back.
