E4 have secured the UK rights to the latest Arrowverse show, Batwoman. E4 parent Channel 4 said that the series would premiere on the channel in 2020.
Batwoman tells the story of Kate Kane, who, armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman. She is an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.
The drama series, which is based on the DC character, stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Dougray Scott, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Meagan Tandy and Elizabeth Anweis.
In addition to Batwoman, this deal also gives E4 UK rights to DC Universe’s animated Harley Quinn series.

I used to read the DC comics when I was young. In those days she was Commissioner Gordon's daughter, Barbara, a librarian if I recall correctly. Still have to go with the times I guess. Will give it a go. Harley Quinn sounds good, too.

I remember the TV series of Batman in the 60s, and Batgirl (as she was then) was played by Yvonne Craig. Some good names for the Harley Quinn series, too.

Loved Batgirls red wig, karate kicks and that she zipped around Gotham City on a purple Vespa. Which thinking back, she must have stored in the parking garage of her apartment flat? She didn't have a Bat Cave. Her costume and utility belt etc. were behind the mirror of her changing table if I recall. I suppose its always best to never over think these things. Though I do remember being a kid and always wondering who would re set the "do not enter" barrier that the Batmobile always drove over when they left the Bat Cave or who would pick-up the parachute when the Batmobile needed to do an emergency stop. Then there was an episode where they showed a service vehicle come pulling up and collecting the parachute off of the street and the vehicle had a sign on the side which said something like "Gotham Parachute Recovery Service" or something. Someone must have wrote in to ask similar questions since so many kids watched they didn't want Batman and Robin to promote littering. Same as how they always made a point for the camera to zoom in and show them fastening their seatbelts. Which at the time were something fairly new as standard equipment in passenger cars.

Good first episode. Will continue to watch. Wasn't it Bob Kane who created Batman? I wonder if her surname is in homage to him.
