I saw this today at Richmond and it has a number of venues left to visit. On the whole I would say it was quite good and it certainly got a good response from the audience (no standing O though, we weren't that keen!). It dates from the Twenties I believe but it actually ran pretty well and wasn't creaky as some older plays can be (I give you Agatha Christie's Black Coffee as an example of that).
The production is by the Classic Thriller Company, a sister to the Classic Christie Company as I understand it. The director was Roy Marsden. The big name was Britt Ekland whom I found to be a bit odd. I had difficulty making out what she said and they had done her up rather like Mrs Overall. (And she looked skeletally thin as well.) Gary Webster was good in a role reminiscent of Minder and Marti Webb was also good in it. In fact all the other cast members gave good performances but I don't know who they were! Oh yes, Tracy Shaw from Corrie was the leading lady.
So it was an enjoyable afternoon, with some well executed effects which certainly made me jump, and also quite humorous in places.

Britt Ekland. Is she the "big bosomed lady with the Dutch accent" from the Rod Stewart song?

She must be getting for 100 by now. She was an actress in the 60s and the girlfriend of Peter Sellers for a while. She may well have gone out with Rod Stewart as well. I think he dated every blonde on the planet in the 70s.

She is 77 and I think she did go out with Rod Stewart back in the day. Didnt she marry Peter Sellers?
She is Swedish I believe and not what I would regard as big bosomed, so perhaps the song refers to another!
