The National are streaming a number if productions for FREE on YouTube. They drop at 7p.m. on Thursdays and are available for 7 days. The shows for April are:
02/04, One Man, Two Guv'nors starring James Corden. (i saw a touring version, hilarious) 09/04, Jane Eyre. (Again, saw a touring version. Very innovative.) 16/04, Treasure Island, starring Arthur Darvill. (No idea) 23/04, Twelfth Night starring Tamsin Greig as Malvolia. (I enjoyed it but may not be to everyone's taste.)
I am hoping I can watch these using the firestick as that has YouTube.

Thanks for the info. I wish they'd start it yesterday though, and a two a week might be good. I know I'm being greedy, but they have quite a big back catalogue and lots of people are stuck at home. I'd love to see Frankenstein, but an am looking forward to One Man Two Guvnors. I might subscribe so I don't forget.

A friend told me last night that the Royal Opera House are doing a similar thing free on You Tube, I believe called ROH @home. But I havent checked it out so this may be wrong and I dont know what they are offering as Corvid19 freebies as opposed to any regular subscription list.

They have a programme called #OurHouseToYourHouse which is performances on YouTube. Peter and the Wolf premiered last night and it looks as if it will stay on YouTube for the foreseeable future. See details at www.roh.org.uk/.
