Finally got to watch this today, after studiously (and successfully) avoiding all spoilers. Sorry to see Hermine go, they are all good at this stage. Not sure I would have wanted to eat the technical - all looked a bit dry to me. Would have happily tucked into the signature dishes and the showstoppers!

Hermine was lovely on Extra Slice. Very gracious in defeat and clearly glad she took part.

Wonderful series with worthy finalists and a great winner.
I love the "catch up" bits at the end - and welcome baby Ronnie!
Matt Lucas is a welcome addition to the team and Noel is so sweet and supportive when necessary.
Can Mrs Spoon get a spin off series?

Good result I thought. But I have to say if someone served me a cake which consisted of a normal cake, key lime pie, lemon macaroons and I forget the fourth bit, I think I would feel a bit sick!
I think Matt was an excellent choice for new host. He seemed to have a far better rapport with Noel than Sandi did and to be a very kind man.

See, I’m still not sure about Matt Lucas. But I did notice some of the contestants really seemed to find him comforting.

Noel does a lot of larking about, but he was very kind with Laura Both he and Matt seemed to have the right things to say to contestants who needed a bit of comfort

I never took to Peter but I do appreciate his technical ability. Dave was so close and if only Laura had concentrated on her timing she would have walked it. Every single week something was delicious but a mess.
