In an attempt to rewind the clocks to the days of good drama, I have started watching Spooks again from the beginning. It is excellent - still gripping after all these years. Well worth a revisit.

It is fantastic I think. They would never get the budget for such a long show to do all that filming on location these days. I am just coming to the end of series 8 so just two more to go (although I was scarred by the final episode so not looking forward to that, lol). I also have the movie to rewatch on my recorder. So lockdown has been Spookstastic for me.
And as well as the whole thing being on iplayer, they have been showing it from the beginning on Drama. So it has had a bit of a resurgence.

I'm watching this too & loving it. I thought I'd seen all the episodes before,but I'm finding several I don't remember at all.

I've been watching again too, the early series were very good. I'm about halfway through series 9, I forgot how annoyed I was with how they wrote Lucas in this series.

Count me in as another one who re-watched all the series of Spooks during lockdown. Like gowergirl, there were episodes I didn't remember (but I definitely would have seen them - back in the day, they were must-see TV). I remembered a lot of the main characters' deaths, but the significant one at the end caught me out.  |

Me too, though probably not as annoyed as Richard Armitage was! He's an actor who invents a back story for his characters and Lucas's didn't fit his image of his earlier self!
I haven't been rewatching – only so many hours in the day – but might catch up on the iplayer.

I missed Spooks the first time round so it is all fresh stuff for me and SO exciting. I record it each night on Drama and watch the next day whilst eating my tea so I am only part way through series 5. I don't want to progress any faster than one episode a day though because I look forward to it so much. Brilliant writing and acting .... and so many people who have gone on to be big names too - wonderful!

Series 9.
I think I missed a lot of this because I just about remember the blonde girl but not the Lucas revisionist story! I must ask though... if he is that bothered about this Maya woman, why didn’t he seek her out when he first came back from Russia. I mean he has slept with a few women since his debut but there hasn’t been the slightest hint he loved another, and yet he seems to be going quite stalkerish now! Well persistent is perhaps a better word.

This was a jump the shark series for me Im afraid. This was probably why it only got one more series. A shambles. Pah!😠 |

Last night I watched episode 5 of series 10 and discovered there is only one more to go. And I know what happens and am not at all happy about it! But that was a seriously curtailed series wasn’t it? I’ve been enjoying it though, far better than the dreadful series 9.

Ive just watched the final episode and in case Vicky still has more to watch I shall go into a spoiler. {SPOILER:Click to Show}Omg i was in floods. Just like I was when it all crumbled to dust the first time! I can remember watching it then and being so pleased they would finally be together, all for that petulant git to ruin it. And I had forgotten that little sighting of Tom. Well done Harry, get them all banged to rights or killed. Ruth was my favourite!!!! |
