It was interesting to compare the dramatisation with the documentary about the case which was shown last night. The father/son relationship between the chief superintendent and his son was, presumably, a piece of dramatic license but was that between Cooper and his son too? "Children" were mentioned in relation to the Coopers in the documentary but in the dramatisation the impression (for me anyway) was that Adrian/ Andrew was their only child and that he played a reasonably important part in the case. He wasn't mentioned at all in the documentary but I guess that might be because he didn't want to be involved.

I would have appreciated a post script to the drama telling us how the son was faring. He clearly suffered at the hands of his loathsome father!

I haven’t watched the documentary yet but I thought the dramatisation was pretty good.

I recorded the series and have seen the first part so far. I didn't know there was a documentary too, so unless my series record has picked it up I'll have to watch on catch-up, darn it!

My series-link picked up the documentary, goodhelenstar, so if you have 4 episodes you're golden. 🙂 So did mine. I thought there was an error when I saw a fourth episode on my recording schedule because I knew the drama was only 3 but the machine is clearly cleverer than me! |

They record the programmes you DON'T like - then play them back while you are away on holiday.
