New Year's Day at 4.35 pm.
Adil Ray hosts a new game show in which three sets of contestants use their powers of deduction in a battle of words. Last duo standing can double their winnings or go home with nothing. Will be giving this a go.

Just read in the new Radio Times it's on weekdays at 3 pm. Makes a change from Tenable.

Not too bad. At least Adil doesn't try to get laughs every few minutes. Has a 90s feel to the show. Not used to seeing a game show without general knowledge questions. Will carry on watching.

I quite liked it. And it's harder than you think.

I enjoyed it definitely a Shout at the TV sort of programme Nothing complicated or gimmicky about it, and certainly harder than it looks at first

Isn’t this program very like that new internet word game ‘Wordle’ which is apparently the latest internet sensation?

Quite. I don't know why they don't say it. Adil Ray mentioned it once on Good Morning but it was brushed aside. Apart from putting it in an App it is an old word game anyway. I remember playing it with pen and paper many years ago.

Sometimes, it's all it takes ... simple game, think of how it can be done online and upload it. (I can't say that last bit would be simple! )

It was started by an American guy to amuse his friends. He had no idea it would take off the way it has. Sometimes things just appeal to people

Not much time to think in the tv programme. Nice thing about Wordle is that you can try two lines, think ‘What on earth is this going to be?’, and leave it for a while And it’s fun knowing friends etc are doing the same puzzle
