Close To Me will premiere on Channel 4 on Sunday November 7th at 9pm.
Close To Me tells the story of Jo Harding, a woman who seems to have it all – a beautiful house in the country, a loving family and a devoted husband. But following a fall, an entire year suddenly vanishes from Jo’s memory. As she struggles to piece events together, Jo discovers that her life wasn’t quite as perfect as she imagined – and that someone will do all they can to keep a terrible secret from her.
The drama series, which is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Amanda Reynolds, stars Connie Nielsen (Nashville), Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), Tom Taylor (Us), Rosy McEwen (The Alienist: The Angel Of Darkness), Susan Lynch (Unforgotten), Leanne Best (Young Wallander), Henning Jensen (Below The Surface), Ellie Haddington (Enola Holmes), Ray Fearon (Da Vinci’s Demons), Nick Blood (Strike), Jamie Flatters (Liar) and Lorraine Burroughs (Hard Sun).

I'll watch eventually, but there are multiple clashing programmes and it will have to wait. 9.00pm on a Sunday is a very crowded time slot.

I've been thinking that too, geometryman. (Currently binge-watching Showtrial so I can free up one of the time slots on my PVR. )

Don’t trust her husband.

I watched it this evening and enjoyed it. I couldn’t decide if the husband is a baddie or a red herring.

I've watched the first episode too, and can't decide yet who is keeping how much from her or why. I guess that's the point as this was only ep 1 of 6, and I assume we're going to get a succession of revelations as it progresses. The late dog and the son seem to get a lot of mentions (did we see the son at all apart from in flashback or dream/imagination?). The husband looked too upset at the end to be a baddie - presumably that was her missing phone he was trying to get into?
I notice this is up as a boxset on All4 should it become necessary to binge ...

I thought it was a bit slow to be honest but it was a scene-setting first episode so I'll give it a chance. I'm not surprised she fell down that staircase (however it happened) as it looks lethal and I was expecting her to go head first down it again at one point!

It really made me laugh when she got up in the middle of the night and went down those stairs without putting any more lights on or carrying her stick! She is black and blue, walks quite badly and is still suffering from a head injury.

Isn’t this the second series showing a very modern house where someone has had a bad/fatal fall down the stairs? There was that itv serial a while back. It seemed a very narrow steep staircase.
