Has anyone seen this?
It's like WDYTYA but with a twist. It's two celebs who are friends or family that have their family trees traced and visit historians in relevant locations. So far, so same old. But the best bit is when they find a unknown cousin and set up a meeting. Johnny Vegas and his cousin Ray are brilliant together!
John Bishop and Hugh Bonneville were very interesting too.
The historians do milk their parts a bit, especially Brad, but they may have told to do that by the producers.

The ad breaks are ridiculous but I have watched them. There are some amazing similarities and interesting stories that none of them knew anything about.
Hugh Bonneville's face firstly when he found out an ancestor was a docker at Chatham and then a unionised protestor in Ireland. Pure class.

But I probably wouldn't bother with this if I couldn't stream it. My aversion to ads is getting worse and worse. I've noticed there's been quite a few series of this. But don't fancy watching any of the celebs. Are any worth watching?

And Hugh Bonneville isn't nearly as posh as I thought he would be. Must have gone to public school.

Yes he changed his name from something like Bonnywell.

I've watched a few in past series, depending who the celebs are. There was one with Maureen Lipman and Rula Lenska exploring their Polish roots which was very good. I like both Hugh Bonneville and John Bishop and they didn't disappoint but am not a fan of Johnny Vegas so I didn't bother with that one.

Was there a lot about the Holocaust in it?

Not in the Hugh Bonneville/John bishop one, or in the Jonny Vegas/Alex brooker one. Didn’t see the Rula lenska/maureen lipman one

Was there a lot about the Holocaust in it? I can't remember to be honest. Will *definitely* watch the Adrian Dunbar one.

I am racking my brains but I think in the Lipman/Lenska one the families had left before the war and Lenska's some stayed but were OK and others had left. She knew quite a bit of her background.
