I am still watching it. I did guess there would be another person on the train, but didn't guess about the man jumping off. It's nuts, but decent nuts, if that makes sense. A bloke at work asked whether they'd considered anything non-techy like uncoupling the last carriage and just getting off when it stops, so the army could blow the train up. Will they?

Uncoupling at over 100 mph 😳 And I did think it was a very stupid (and highly unlikely) decision to shoot at the tanks hoping to drain the diesel and wouldn’t catch fire, or worse, blow up!
But other than that, yes, it’s still gripping tense stuff. I think we’ve decided to watch the rest of it before Sunday

Realistically it would have come off the tracks on that Settle viaduct route....and how did it get to Leeds from there. They just appeared. Do they know how complicated that would be. It would probably have to go back to Carlisle, then to Newcastle, using up loads of diesel. Then it could get on the East Coast line but that's a slow big turn across the Tyne. And where have all the other trains gone. There's been no mention that I heard of them getting all the other trains into sidings and depots.
Fiction is so much easier than reality isn't it.

Well, there was mention (was it last night?) that the entire network had been taken over.

As if the network is that connected. You can't even get WiFi on half of it. Cross Country is mostly diesel and if they had seriously got to Leeds it would be daylight by now.
But never mind it's fiction.

The UHP (Unidentified Hooded Person) on the train looks like Liam Gallagher! Expect an extra does of bad language in the next episode
This series could well be in the running for the rare distinction of gaining a Bonekickers award!!

One of my neighbours is a railway enthusiast. He and his partner are as hooked on this series as I am. He says that is in spite of knowing that so much about it is wrong.

I was the same with Call the Midwife. Great fun guessing what was coming next.

Just finished the series - wow, what a rollercoaster ride, best must-watch telly I've seen for a while! I 'took it in the spirit it was meant' (glad to know other fans include at least one railway buff ) while noticing the odd inconsistency here and there. Anyone guess who 'The Driver' was? I had certain suspicions and this person blipped across my radar briefly, but not enough to convince, so it came as rather a surprise...

I'm watching episode by episode on Sunday and Monday so still have two to go but I do have my suspicions (which are probably wrong!) Looking forward to the penultimate episode tonight. BTW, my railway buff neighbour is only watching because I recommended it to his wife last weekend. Now they have binge watched the whole thing over two afternoons and were full of thanks to me for putting them onto it! 😊

I watched the last two episodes last night. I’ll say no more except to say, when it finished, I hadn’t realised I’d been holding my breath for God knows how long. Talk about an adrenaline rush! 🥵

Wow, that was exciting! I have no idea if all those technical instructions they were issuing are real or possible and, if they are, it is all beyond my understanding, but it made for a nail biting viewing experience. That was the BBC's best drama for a long time even it it was far-fetched and the dialogue was terrible. I had correctly guessed who the person on the train with the phone was but I got The Driver totally wrong. Great stuff!

It was good, once you suspended belief. Most of the jargon would be correct. I don't think they'd get away with it if it wasn't. Perhaps the massive glossy central London building wasn't. And obviously it couldn't happen because you can't even get wi-fi on your phone on a lot of lines. Harder to get his revenge if the office was on an old diesel branch line!!!
It did explain why the train kept changing lines though, because the driver was trying to confuse them.

I have watched a few of these now and am enjoying it, it is definitely in the Red Eye style. It’s very zippy. And Junior from EE is one of the security staff, and he’s much better in this. He doesn’t talk with his head at that peculiar angle he uses in EE, 😂😂.

I have a question. They know that jammer thing wired into the train doesn’t contain explosives. So why don’t they try to destroy with the axe or the fire extinguisher? Was that discussed?
I dont think much of Alexandra Roach as Abby in this, and I think the woman playing the Director, her boss, is dreadful. But it is a hoot and sometimes that’s what you need isn’t it? Hoping to finish it today.
